Well, the weather might be against us today but there's still lots of deliciousness being served up at Curlew Cafe until 3pm.
Traditional breakfast, omelettes, baked breakfast bowls all available for you carnivores, vegetarians and those with any intolerance or allergies. Most food we serve is already gluten free but if you make us aware of any requirements on order we will do our best to accommodate. If we sell it you can have it in any combination as all food is freshly prepared for you. 'It takes a little longer but it's worth the wait' as a wise customer once said! Hope to see you soon. We already use it in and on our recipes, where appropriate, so many of you will have tried it but you can taste test if you wish.
We have been asked many times if we sell honey... So, here you go...
The beekeepers have heeded your call and have made up a batch.
Priced at £7 per 450g jar ... don't delay as they will literally fly off the shelf. I had to take a photo quickly before we ran out!

We’re extremely pleased to announce that following today’s food hygiene inspection, we have retained our 5 (very good) food hygiene rating🙌🏻⭐️

Not only that but we also had no faults/problems found AT ALL‼️
The inspecting EHO even commented that we were “the best butchers in Leeds” that they had visited🤯

We’re obviously over the moon with this and cannot praise our fantastic team enough for such a glowing report. So we’d like to say a massive thank you to all of our staff for always maintaining such a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety. Also, a massive thank you to our food safety consultant extraordinaire Liam Scott Cooper of Vital Food Hygiene Solutions 🧼
It’s a team effort guys so massive well done🫶🏻

OK...so he's a bean to cup coffee machine, but he makes a lovely brew 😀 😄 Fresh beans, fresh milk (if required - oat and cow's milk available)
You eagled eyed lovelies will have also noticed that our brews are served in proper mugs now we have more indoor seating where your drink will stay warm in a mug. Time to get your Curlew on and visit us this year? It would be lovely to see you.
Don't worry we still make Cafetières, instant coffee, wonderful Yorkshire tea, herbal teas, hot chocolate with the trimmings, and of course we can serve you a cold drink from the fridge. What's not to love?

The weather is improving slowly but surely and the cabin is once again usable. It will be lovely to see you all again 😊

Following the demise of the polytunnel we have erected this gazebo to provide some protection from the weather for those of you who prefer to sit out or come with your pooches. We hope this will help when you are out for your winter walks. The polytunnel will be back in action asap but will take some weeks to complete.
🤞this provides some additional shelter until then.
Don’t forget we also have 5 indoor tables in the heated cabin (it is advisable to book).

Unfortunately Storm Pia has severely damaged our polytunnel, and therefore it is closed at the moment ( probably until Spring). There is indoor seating in the cabin but obviously booking is advisable to ensure you can be out of the weather if you are coming.
We're sorry but this also means that space for dogs indoors is in scarce supply so if you are able to come without your dogs for a few weeks, that would be appreciated. We do have a small indoor area where dogs (and you) are welcome but due to its proximity to the kitchen we would appreciate you only bringing small, clean dogs if you really need to. Hopefully none of you have been adversely affected by the storms. Stay safe and if we don't see you before, Happy Christmas and New Year.

I know the weather has not been kind for the last few weeks but if you fancy a break from the old routine, why not join us in the cabin for a Festive Feast £20 per head for 3 courses (pre-order any day Friday -Tuesday throughout December excluding Bank holidays) or simply come and enjoy our usual delicious treats.
