AMB Horse Transport

Yesterday I took these two beautiful ponies to Farnley Ride. Both travel brilliantly and are pure delights to deal with 😀
Then I took the lorry to my stables to do some loading practice with my yearling, Esther. She still struggles with knowing where her feet are but with a shake of the bucket loaded really well. Giving her time inside to chill out inside and explore the lorry. Just have to be careful with Esther, she loves to bite things so I had to keep her away from the padding cushions 😂

Busy day yesterday. First up was Clover to Port Royal EEC for the dressage. She was a touch naughty but these are all learning experiences for everyone ❤️
Then we heading up to Durham to collect the gorgeous Flash to take him to his new home. He's definitely going to be loved and spoilt 💙

On 13th August we will be heading to Scotland with an empty lorry. We can divert on the way to Scotland to accommodate a transport either to scotoland or part of the way. Can go on either East or West side of the UK.

Yesterday Smartie went to Devon. She was the most perfect passenger. We left early and kept the fan on all the way for her to keep her cool. She walked off the box chilled and not in the slightest bit warm.
On the way down she had breaks and was offered water which she had a few little sips of.
Hopefully she'll go on to find her perfect home 😀

A thought...
If we offered the lorry for self hire would there be any demand for this? I've toyed with the idea for a bit, going back and forth as I love my lorry so much I'd hate to see it damaged. But it's a thought I've been having to get and allow it to be used but free my time up a bit.
It wouldn't be open to just anyone to hire, carefully selected people only. Which sounds harsh but it's my pride and joy after my horses.
Any comments welcome on the matter 😊

Today I ventured out with my own girl. It was her first outing for a show. She's only 2 years old.
The only times she has travelled is when I have moved her yards, once from her stud in Cornwall and then from her youngstock yard to where she is now. She clearly has enjoyed it as she went straight on and off and on and off again and chilled munching hay and being her usual happy self 😀

These two were fabulous today 🤩 first prelim test and they did some of the best work I've ever seen from them 🥰

This week I picked a special horse up for a special friend. She's had nothing but rubbish luck in the past couple of years. Hopefully she can have some fun with Pea 🫛

Picked the big beautiful boy Ross up today from Hird and Partners Shelf Equine Hospital where he's been for the last couple of weeks. He's such a lovely boy ❤️🤍💙

Look at these two go!! Second show together at Northallerton Equestrian Centre yesterday evening and they did amazing. Getting placed in both classes even though they had stepped up in height. So proud of Jess and May is jus t such a lovely pony 🤩

My lorry has been into the garage for the last week hence the silence. It has had the bonnet resprayed due to the teeth marks Esther put down it. A scuff on the side has also been resprayed. The ramp gaitor has been replaced due to it being ripped.
Biggest thing though, the brakes have been replaced, discs and pads and also a caliper.
I never like to mess around with safety and brakes being 100% is so important to me ❤️🤍💙
Biggest shout out goes to Matt Jackson who is amazing and one of the only people I'd trust with Boudicca 🤩

I need to address a little something, Me.

I said at the start of the year I would be limiting bookings. It appears I have not done this and need to be far stricter on myself 😬

I work in my other job 40 hours a week, and that's 40 hours of full on stress most of the time. I love it but, it does take its toll. I'm also taking bookings on bookings transporting and I just can't keep up. I'm going to make myself poorly if I continue.

I'm not taking time out for myself, my family and my own horses and for my mental wellbeing and physical wellbeing I need to.
Therefore, please be advised I will not always be avaliable and planning in advance is the best way to ensure I can book you in when you want.

I apologise if I let anyone down but I can't keep up as I am doing 🙁

A busy week moving horses.
First up, Harley moved back to be with his mum ready to continue his ridden life 😀
Then it was Basil who has the most horrific injury I have ever seen. He went to a rehabilitation yard to try so he can hopefully heal well. He was such a sweetie even with the injuries 😍
Then day the most gorgeous Anglo Arab mare who was nervy and had a little bit of sedation from the vet to help settle her. She did load and relax well and hopefully had a good travel experience. Thanks to Taylor's problem loaders for recommending me 🤩

In the last 24 hours I've been to Northallerton Equestrian Centre twice. Last night I took the gorgeous May and her new rider Jess to their first show where they absolutely smashed it with 2 x 3rds 🥉🥉 can not wait to see what they achieve in the future 🤩
Then today i was back with my girl and we also got a 3rd 🥉she loves having the lorry open so she can chill out and watch the world go by ❤️

Lovely day out at Ardsley Horse and Pony Club today taking two ponies who were superstars 😀

Today we toom Mr Roscoe to dressage. He found it a bit overwhelming but was definitely a worthwhile trip out. Next time he'll be so much better for it 😀

This week we have moved a couple of horses to different yards. The boy we had on Tuesday was so handsome, I could have kept him 🥰
Then a quick move for a friend close by.
And today we took gorgeous Fleur who has a bit of attitude loading but did very well today 😀

Well this morning started off very wet but luckily it soon dried out for a lovely day at SYKEHOUSE ARENA ☀️
Cheeky Lennox was a touch naughty in his second class but his little rider does amazingly on him. Then Charlie was an absolute star at his first show in a few years bringing home two red rosettes 🥇🏆🥇
We had a great day out with the girls all getting along 😀

Busy day, first off taking Indi to Hopton Horse Centre for an arena hire. She was as always foot perfect. Caught up with fellow transporter Hoofing Around - Equine Transport and had a good natter 😂
Then going to collect Mr Coolio and his mum to take them for their showjumping lesson. I've not seen them for ages and it was so good to see them again. And bonus is he jumped fabulous 😀

If there's one thing at AMB that I try to always pride myself on and thats being kind, caring and patient with the horses.
I can not bare to see horses loaded with force or being scared. Even if it takes longer and I have to alter plans I will always do what is best for the horse.
At the weekend a yard move had to be adjusted to make sure both horses were happy. The first mare was clearly worried so was given time to understand the box and be happy before being tied up. Then the second was a yearling who was clearly confused so I advised it would be better to travel her separate and give her the whole box. I'm doing so, both had good journeys which will hopefully give them a hood experience ready for the next time they travel 😊

Super proud of these two today. Different venue at Craven Arena and although Clover was a little worried for the first test. Her mum rode her brilliant for the second test and they did an awesome test. Some amazing sections.
Clover isn't the easiest but to see them doing so well is fantastic 😊

Lovely day for a trip to Fair Oaks Farm Ride & Cross Country such a lovely venue.
