Hi Folks! Its been a while, I hope everyone is well and had a great new year! ๐ช I'm very pleased to finally announce that as of January 2022 I am performing as Brian May and taking on lead guitar duties in 'The Freddie And Queen Experience'! ๐ฅณ
This is a brand new venture for me and I am very excited to be working with them. They're a fantastic band and a brilliant bunch of chaps, so keep an eye out for us at a venue near you! We have nearly 100 gigs through 2022 all accross the UK! We'll be playing in theatres, live venues, some awesome O2 Academy shows and even a tour of Dubai! You don't want to miss us so make sure you check out The Freddie And Queen Experience band page for more info!
If you'd like a taste, here's some great audiance footage from last Saturday night in Glasgow at the SWG3 Lookalike Festival! This also the first live footage of me in my new outfit! Here's some footage of 'I Want It All'
Enjoy! ๐๐ธ
๐ผ Had an absolute blast last night playing our final gig of the year with Kinda Queen! It was a privelidge to be joined by my old and honourable comrade Dan Gilson who was standing in on bass ๐ฆต A real pleasure to be on stage together again making some noise, it's been far too long. Hopefully we'll be doing more gigs together in 2022... we will see..
Thanks again to the chaps in Kinda Queen Queen for taking me on these last few months. They're a great bunch and a great band. Try and see them if you get the chance!
Happy New Year to all and all the best for 2022! ๐ฅณ๐ป๐ธ
๐ผ Awesome festive gig last night with .queen.hull to finish off the year !! It was a proper belter, my ears are paying for it this morning though!
On another note, thanks for everyone's patience and support over the course of this very weird year. I hope everyone has a great Christmas and all the best for 2022 ๐
I'm looking forward to many more gigs/guitars๐ in the new year!

๐ผ Hi folks! I hope everyone is well, sorry but I have a belated update!
I've realised I never announced that I'm no longer performing with the Queen tribute band: 'Killer Rhapsody - A Night Of Queen'.
I'm just mentioning it now because I've had messages from people asking about their gigs and when I'll be playing with them next etc. For any info on their upcoming shows you will need to visit their page. Sorry for any confusion!
You can keep up to date on all my upcoming gigs on this page! My next and potentially final gig of the year will be with the mighty 'Kinda Queen' on the 18th December for an awesome Christmas party!๐๐ป๐ค
More details about that to be released soon.. Thanks for reading! Take care ๐

๐ผ First gig last night with The Kopycat Killers tribute! They sound just like the real thing if not better. Great band and great set of chaps. If you're a fan of The Killers make sure you go and see them, you won't be disappointed. ๐ธ

Not played this guitar in a such a long time but it sounds awesome for what I'll be playing this weekend.. hint hint... Looking forward to playing something different!
It's a Gibson 120th Anniversary Flying V in dark cherry. I don't use it much but it was my first Gibson guitar and I love it ๐ธ
๐ผ This week I got the awesome pleasure of playing through a clone of Brian Mays deacy amp! The amp that was originally built for him by John Deacon and used on countless Queen recordingsโก
๐ธ Hats off to its maker Mr Matt Netherwood of creations. It's a truly special piece of kit and I'm privelidged I got to hear the unique guitar tone in real life.
๐ผ A couple of stunners.

๐ผ Last night I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Mr Matt Netherwood of Yonderbosk Creations to collect some new pickups for another ongoing guitar project. Whilst there I was lucky enough to get to play and demo some of Matts awesome builds!
Here's a video of 'Dreamers Ball' played on Matts Purple Special through his Cornish TB and 'Deacy' (John Deacon Amp) Clone, all home built! ๐ธ
I've never heard a deacy before in real life, let alone play one and it sounded awesome, what a privelidge โก
๐ผ GUITARIST AVAILABLE FOR HIRE!!
๐ Earlier this week it was announced that 'Magic - A Kind of Queen' my resident Queen tribute band had to sadly call it a day after decades of performing heritage.
๐ธ This means that I am now available for hire once again for freelance work, even at short notice as my calender has freed-up.
โกIf you need a Guitarist or know a band in need of one for Live or studio/recording work please share this info! I'm always on the lookout for other exciting opportunities and ventures. (Just to be clear the work isn't just for Queen bands as I can play other styles too.)
If interested please drop me a message with your enquiries and I'll get back to you ASAP!
Thanks for reading! ๐
๐ผ Had a great time this weekend performing with Kinda Queen for a special Halloween gig! If you're a fan of Queen deep cuts and the early stuff, these guys are one to see! Looking forward to some more dates with them this year๐โก๐ธ
๐ผ This is really sad news. Unfortunately due to a number of reasons listed in the band post below (covid, personal commitments, illness etc) 'Magic - A Kind Of Queen', one of the oldest and quite possibly the first Queen tribute band to exist has had to call it a day.
I feel very fortunate and grateful that a band with this much heritage were happy to take me on in 2019 and they're by far one of the best Queen Tributes out there. Their professionalism and attention to detail to the music was superb, performing all vocal and guitar harmonies live.
One of my favourite memories is from the very first night I played with them. At short notice I had to learn and perform their unique 2 hour set without a rehearsal for a sold out theatre. It was my first job and it was terrifying but we all jelled instantly. My favourite song from that night by far was Innuendo and I was very surprised to see it on the set list. I'd never played that live with any band so I was really looking forward to it. I was completely blown away by the power and at the atmosphere they captured and I haven't heard any other band do it like that since.
It's been a real pleasure to perform with them and we've done some awesome gigs, been on some great trips and I've got some great memories to look back on.
Maybe we'll perform again in the future? We will see, but for now wishing the chaps Taylor, Chappers, Col, Mark, Andy and Dave all the best for the future.

Hi everyone.
We thought we'd better explain what's been going on with Magic.
We've had a very difficult couple of years with the problems caused by covid and the lockdowns affecting theatres and entertainment venues. People have thought about their personal lives over this time and some decided they didn't want to tour anymore.
Due to illness we struggled on with a depleted squad for most of this time whenever we could. And I must say we did ourselves proud.
Recruitment of new people has been almost impossible without being able to rehearse for a lot of the time with lockdowns and the distance we all live apart. Also musicians left the business in their droves getting other jobs as they just couldn't work.
Anyway, with the pressure of upcoming shows without a full band we've realised we have no option but to come off the road.
Will we return? Who knows? But for now we'd just like to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for all the support you've given us over the years and especially those of you who've supported us through this difficult time.
Lots of love to you all, stay safe.
Dave F, Andy, Dave C , Col, Mark, Taylor and Robert.
That's all folks โค๏ธ๐ถ

LIVE KILLERS UPDATE
LIVE KILLERS UPDATE:
So dear friends, followers and supporters, our social media pages have been very quiet as of late. Due to a number of different circumstances our initial plans to announce certain dates and release media over the last few weeks have been continually delayed. This has been completely out of our control, we are still working hard behind the scenes towards the future and we are looking forward to sharing our plans when we can. We apologise if we've kept anyone waiting but we still can't announce anything at this time as of yet. Although we are hoping when the time comes, we will be able to hit the ground running. Thanks for reading and your understanding, we will keep you updated. The Show Must Go On.

๐ผ Looking forward to playing our 2nd theatre show of the year with Magic - A Kind Of Queen! Let's do it. ๐๐โก
I'm absolutely buzzing to get my newly set up custom 'Magic' Guitar back from my good friend Greg Alcock! Aka 'Yorkshire guitar tech' and Limehouse Lizzy guitarist, make sure you check them out! โก
The guitar has had a good service, fret level and profile. The pickups are at correct heights and the intonation is now perfect. I had a quick play of it when I collected it but nearly got kicked out because I couldn't put it down!
I can't wait to do some videos and start using this live! I may upload a dodgy phone video later, we'll see. Anyway thanks again Greg! For anyone needing any work on their guitars, Greg is your man ๐ธ
P.s. what a great photo, it's nice to see it next to the actual Queen vinyl. As you say Greg, I'm not sure a CD case would have quite done it the same justice ๐
Great to see my friend Rob Hudson of Live Killers UK! He dropped by so that I could check out the "It's a Kind of Magic" custom guitar he made with his Dad!! Rob will be adding this to his live set-up, and using it on their social media page - please give them a 'like' ๐๐๐ป๐ธ๐ธ
๐ผ Chasing some new Brian May tones (as always without any proper Brian May gear) in preparation for our big Live Killers news.. The Magic guitar is back in the workshop so I'm using the black Christmas guitar. I'm gaining a lot of respect for it, it's saved my neck a few times now so I'm lucky to have it to fall back on.
๐ธ
Todays setup: Shure wireless pack, r2r electric R2RGeMaster treble booster, Strymon Riverside Overdrive into my Marshall Bluesbreaker.

My Dad had an idea for a new video series: 'How to sound like Brian May, without any official Brian May gear'. Would anyone be interested in watching something like that?
๐ฅ
๐ผ New Pedal Day! Severely impressed with the tones from my new Strymon Riverside. Best overdrive pedal I've ever tried, can't wait to test it in a rehearsal ๐ธ

After this weekend of gigs and rehearsals, the guitar has a couple of minor snags which need sorting then I'll be sending it off to be set up properly. When I get it back I'll start uploading some videos. I hope you enjoyed the read. If you have any questions about it please let me know. Cheers ๐

๐ผ Really enjoyed our first theatre gig last night with Magic at The Mill in Sonning! Took this before we started. It seemed quite fitting to unveil the 'Magic' Guitar with 'Magic - A Kind Of Queen' tribute. Sat next to the Magic guitar is my backup, the homemade guitar I got at Christmas. Its great to be back at it again, really missed it! โก๐ธ
๐ผ Not posted anything in a while . The reason being I've not had a complete guitar to do it.. However after months of hard work, many late nights/early mornings, me and my awesome Dad Julian have finally completely the final evolution of my Brian May Special..

โจ Presenting my new 'Magic' Guitar! ๐
โก
I can't wait to unveil this tomorrow with Magic at our first theatre gig since 2020!
โก
๐ธ I'd just like to say a massive thanks to my dad Julian Hudson for working tirelessly over the past few weeks on this guitar, including getting up at 430am to refret the guitar! We've really tried to push the boundaries design and tech wise, and we're hoping it could be the most advanced red special out there! Also a special thanks to Mr with his incredible graphic design skills. Without them the special 'Magic' album guitar finish wouldn't of been possible.
