Wet rot is a general term applied to the many different species of fungus which cause timber decay. Timbers exposed externally to the elements and timbers in contact with wet soil, wet masonry, plaster and a damp atmosphere are all at risk from wet rot. Wet rot can become a serious problem when left untreated. It’s best to sort out wet rot as soon as you notice it.

Wet can occur due to problems such as a leaking roof, from a buildup of moisture on window frames and on timbers that have been left untreated.

Timber resin repair is a method of structural repair used to replace decayed ends or mid-sections of timber beams, frames or joists which have decayed due to rot or timber infestation 🪵

The key benefit is that rather than having to remove and replace the whole timber some of which may not be affected by any decay or it is structurally impractical to do so, it replaces only the part of the timber that has been damaged.
