As part of the campaign, we are searching for inspirational male role models to take part in photography and videography sessions.

“So Ricky lad, that’s for you. There’s a stigma in this world that men can’t talk.

“Listen, if you’re a man and you’ve got weight on your shoulders and you think the only way you can solve it is by killing yourself, please speak to someone. Speak to anyone.

“People would rather, I know I would rather have my mate cry on my shoulder than go to his funeral next week. So please, let’s get rid of this stigma. Men start talking.”

All women aged 25-64 are invited to a cervical screening (smear test) every 3 years. 3 in 4 people will attend their screening which saves around 5,000 lives every year through early detection and prevention of cancers.

Our campaign with NHS West Yorkshire and Harrogate Cancer Alliance is designed to inspire more people to take up the offer of screening when invited and help increase the screening numbers across .
