A Stroke is a serious life-threatening medical condition that happens when the blood supply to part of the brain is cut off.

Residual symptoms following a Stroke can vary from person to person depending on the part of the brain affected.

Hemiplegia, (one sided muscle paralysis), is a common symptom, therefore impacting one’s ability to sit, stand and mobilise independently.
As seen below, ‘Mr T’ has progressed from using a hoist to standing using an aid- an amazing achievement! ⭐️

Through our Physiotherapy sessions, we’ll identify and set SMART goals to aim to achieve one’s maximum potential.

Parkinson's is a progressive neurological condition.

The 3 main symptoms of Parkinson's are tremors (shaking), slowness of movement and rigidity (muscle stiffness). In turn, leading to muscle weakness.

With months of determination, Jane has progressed to sitting on the edge of the bed and having a drink, sustaining her independent sitting balance. Dual tasking exercises can be extremely challenging, but Jane has managed to achieve this SMART goal with the correct help and guidance.
