During many facial consultations we hear negative feedback when suggesting microneedling. There is so much bad information on the internet, horror stories awful experiences, or situations where no results were seen.
It is really important that the person performing the treatment has understanding of the science behind the treatments they offer, experience, of device and needle configuration.

Only with this knowledge can they achieve health for you. Microneedling is a great tool to trick the skin into thinking there has been huge damage when actually the has been controlled micro-damage, which causes a huge amount of and to occur and better skin health will follow.

This is why you do not need to draw blood while microneedling in 9 of 10 cases and why we don’t numb the skin. It is more important to be thorough, even and light than too aggressive. Some situations like deep and other scars can benefit from deeper needling but in most instances we can target a single area rather than the whole face to still achieve best results.

It is very versatile and offers therapists many ways to enhance the treatment with the application of which can be chosen specifically to benefit or treat common skin complaints.

The pre treatment stage is where a therapist can prep the skin during the facial with cleansers and chemicals to slough away dead skin cells, clean dirty pores and open up the waterproof barrier to allow serums to pe*****te and infuse the skin and deeper layers. The strength of the entire facial can be altered at every stage of the process to account for tougher or more sensitive skin types.

Yes we can remove red, although it is a more complicated removal and usually will take longer than black to fade it down, on this tattoo the red had been covered over with black meaning that it was necessary to remove only the black first to reveal the red before we could start the red removal process.

It’s not only the laser that removes the red colour, your body then must remove the particles and this takes more time than with the black! But it will move with time 😊
