It’s not long until our Summer Solstice retreat in the Lake District!
We will be staying in the beautiful Borrowdale View in Keswick.
🧘 Each day you will have the option to take part in Hatha Yoga, breath work and meditation.
Coaching sessions with will be also be available.
💆 If you feel like some relaxation and pampering, we will be providing Reiki, massage and reflexology that can be booked each day.
🚲If you would like to explore the stunning Lake District, there is the option to join us for hiking, mountain/ trail biking and exploring the Derwentwater Lake by boat.

Breakfast will be provided each day, along with two catered evening meals. Keswick has some lovely places to eat, so we can head into town for two evening meals.
🌅We hope to watch the sun come up over the Castlerigg stone circle on the morning of the 21st.

It’s 1 week until our full moon retreat!
Full moons are all about releasing and letting go. This full moon is in the sign of Virgo, known as the healer. Virgo is a practical and analytical sign and we can use this energy to look at what is no longer working for us, in order for us to make changes and move forward.
We will meet at Mayura yoga studio in Thorpe Bay. The retreat begins with some breath work and journal prompts, followed with a walk out along the beach, under the light of the full moon. When back at the studio you will be guided through a gentle yoga session. Followed by a holistic treatment of your choice, from massage, reiki or reflexology. We will then bring the retreat to a close with a releasing ceremony.
Hot drinks and healthy snacks will be provided.

December and January offers at The Bay

Reiki, the healing therapy created by a Japanese Buddhist, Mikao Usui over a hundred years ago, is based on a simple spiritual principle: We are all guided by the same invisible life force, and it controls our physical, mental and emotional well-being. When the energy flows freely, we can tap into unknown reserves of power. When it runs into blockages (often said to be caused by negative thinking, unhealed trauma or stress overload), we function at a suboptimal level.

While this may sound “Woo! Woo!” to some, even skeptics, who have spent an hour with me have felt a positive shift of some sort. Many describe Reiki sessions - a combination of light touch and above the body energy sweeping - as calming and grounding. For some, it feels more like an emotional realignment.

For some adults, over time, have forgotten how to feel (or have become less aware of) their energetic and physical body. That’s ok. Even though you may say you can’t feel the energy moving, if might be subtle but it doesn’t mean the energy is not affecting you.

With kids, depending on their age, I find it helpful to share with them what I am doing and why. Kids are very perceptive and tend to be incredibly open to alternative practices.
