Today we wave goodbye to the last of 30x specially converted Ford Transit L3 H2 EMCC vehicles from Phase 1 of the EMCC rollout for Chevron Traffic Management

We are delighted to be working with the wider team incorporating HRS and PVS to offer a full turn-key solution for this highly innovative, groundbreaking product and process which has revolutionised high speed traffic management.

From what started as an initial mockup and a "could you build" conversation has resulted in a multi-million pound partnership between various areas of Dack Motor Group and Chevron Traffic Management.

Huge thank you must go to Gavin Dack, Phil Jordan and Matt Oates for managing the project and the rest of the Dack Conversions team who have worked tirelessly to deliver these vehicles perfectly first time.

Chevron have shared their vast research and knowledge on this product with the wider Traffic Management community to allow other companies to employ the EMCC technique to their existing offerings.

FARRINGTON’S COMMERCIALS LTD MERGE WITH DACK VANS

This is the result of taking risks and exploring new opportunities during covid.

During a catch up meeting with United Rental Group back in 2020, CEO Per Voegerl briefly mentioned welfare vans to us and the demand for them at that time. The very next day, we pulled one of our rental panel vans into the conversions department and set to creating our first welfare van.

Leo Dack then travelled around in our new Welfare Demonstrator, visiting businesses that were on our radar, Farrington’s Commercials being one of them. Ian Farrington, having many year’s experience in this sector, gave us feedback on our first product.

Leo didn’t hear from Ian again for a few months, when we then started to discuss other products we offered such as dropsides, dropsides with tail lifts, tippers, lutons etc. As time went on and we both got to know each other, Ian expressed an interest in investing in our conversions department.

With Ian’s experience, he could see the harmony of a conversions business working together with a van sales business. After some negotiation, Dack Vans was launched.

As of April 2023, Farrington’s Commercials and Dack Vans have officially merged. Together we have been selling vans since July 2022, we’re off to a great start with an amazing team, and we’re only just scratching the surface. We have huge plans for the future, it’s all very exciting!

Sunny Sunday handover!

After unfortunately having his previous Transit stolen, we are delighted to be able to work with Graham Winter Builders to supply a replacement vehicle which is ready to go and work immediately.

We worked with our friends at other local businesses to complete the vehicle. Signwriting completed with the help of Allen Signs Ltd and additional security upgrades provided by Mark's Transport Group. Thanks for your help guys!

We also provided the vehicle specific cargo net so Graham can carry out his work in a safe and legal way.

There has been a growing interest in the new EMCC technique since it was accepted by National Highways and now more contractors and TM providers are looking to find out more.

We were delighted to welcome Mark Neville, Head of Traffic Management, Balfour Beatty, Danny Rees, Traffic Operations Manager, Connect Plus Services (M25) and Dale Hicks, Traffic Manager/Technical Officer, Connect Plus Services (M25) to our West Drayton depot last week to showcase our EMCC vehicles and their capabilities.
