We were honoured to partner with the Society for Lincolnshire History & Archaeology (SLHA) to create a new look for their bookshop! 📖

Our team managed the entire project, having designed, produced, and installed a new entrance sign, guaranteed to attract more passers-by to the Steep Hill Bookshop.

Established in 1988, the SLHA Bookshop sells publications and books on Lincolnshire’s heritage, as well as general books on family and local history and a wide range of Shire books.

It's Thursday, which means it's our weekly shift volunteering for The Trussell Trust and helping out our local food banks and distribution centres.

Sadly, having to access food banks is the reality for millions in the UK who are unable to afford essentials. Particularly during the summer holidays, there is an increasing demand for .

Essentials needed at the food banks include UHT milk, tinned meals and veg, pasta sauces, puddings, cereal and baby food; but also personal care items.

Isn't it incredible how so much can change in just 3 months? 🌷

Thanks to the amazing Edward Crowther at My Square Metre, our front lawn has never looked better!

My Square Metre is a great initiative that helps individuals and businesses offset part of their CO2 emissions by planting new areas of wildflower meadows and increasing on the land they protect. 🦋

This perfectly aligns with our mission to create a space where nature can thrive, even in our predominantly industrial area. 🏢

From our 98 square meters, this year we expect over 50,000 wildflowers to bloom, with 28 varieties producing nectar to feed 5,000 bees. 🌺

And over the next three decades, our wildflower meadow will be taking in around 290kg of CO2 - all of this coming from just 200g of seed planted! 🌱

So far, it's working pretty well! Can you spot the bumblebee we captured hopping between flowers in the top right picture? 🐝

🍰 At Ruddocks, we don't just celebrate our colleagues' work milestones, but also their personal celebrations.

And today was a special one, as we all came together to wish one of our Key Account Managers, Michael Borman, a very happy 60th birthday! 🥳

2024 marked a double for Michael, as he also reached 35 years at Ruddocks a few months ago.

And for today, our talented colleague, Zelda, baked a special cake depicting Michael's passion for professional cycling. 🚴‍♂️

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)® is an international NGO that covers over 150 million hectares of forests, enabling businesses and consumers to choose responsibly sourced wood, paper and forest products.

Ever since 2009, when we first received our FSC® certification, maintaining it became a top priority and involved thorough regular checks to ensure our purchased paper is FSC® certified.

There were over 40 applicants for this award category! We were incredibly proud that Paul was shortlisted in the final five and enjoyed celebrating everyone’s achievements at the event.

Always happy to welcome students on our premises, we recently had a pleasant visit from St Francis Special School. 🏫

Our Managing Director, Paul Banton showed the group around our premises, covering our design and production process, as well as showing our pond and nature garden. 🌻

'It is fair to say, students were surprised by the array of jobs that the company had to offer. They had a fantastic time using the guillotine and watching the stitchliner in action. They were also treated to seeing the company’s huge litho press running at 15000 sheets per hour - just a tiny bit faster than our school printer!

A big thank you to Paul and his team. Every member was so welcoming and informative. The students were absolutely fascinated by what they saw - as were the adults. One or two may be knocking on Ruddock’s door in the future and asking for a job.'

We've been busy bees 🐝 working with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust to produce their Bumbling Explorers Summer Activity Packs!

Created for children over 3 years old, this new activity pack is perfect for little explorers eager to learn about bumblebees and how to help them thrive 🌺

Our team printed, assembled and delivered these packs, which include activities and fun facts sheets, stickers, and a certificate of completion. 📩

We've enjoyed working with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust on this campaign and the has been amazing:

Today is a special day for us as our Managing Director, Paul Banton, celebrates 25 years with Ruddocks! 🎉

Since joining Ruddocks in June 1999, his drive and ambition for growth saw him quickly promoted to General Manager, before becoming Managing Director in 2008.

Over the years, Paul has guided us through major transformations, including the challenges of two recessions and a global pandemic, while developing a culture to support the future sustainability of the business.

Our team would not be where it is today without Paul's leadership, and we want to extend our heartfelt thanks for everything he has done so far.

Centred around the importance of nature restoration and biodiversity protection, the march was held in London this Saturday and registered more than 60,000 participants! ✊

We were honoured to join forces with sustainable organisations and individuals like Chris Packham, Wildlife & Countryside Link and the Butterfly Conservation, and amplify their voices, by producing their eco boards, placards, and banners for the event. 📢

Among the 350+ organisations in attendance, it was wonderful to see many of our clients and business partners also marching for a better future, including The Wildlife Trusts, The Woodland Trust, and the World Land Trust. 🌳

We firmly believe that organisations have a duty to support the young people in our communities and pass on the wealth of experience in our workforces.

For this reason, we work with local schools and offer mentoring, group visits and work experience placements to students every year.

We recently welcomed Talitha (TJ) Doughty, a year 10 student at the Priory Pembroke Academy. TJ chose Ruddocks based on her interest in photography and graphic design.

During her one-week placement, TJ discovered more about the print and design world and understood how different software and machines are used in the printing process.

We hope this experience has helped TJ gain valuable insights into how a creative production agency operates and the many roles involved in bringing designs to life!

Celebrating a significant milestone in our design studio today! Sam Hicks, one of our Senior Designers, has been at Ruddocks for a whole decade!

Sam joined our team in 2014, as a Graphic Design graduate from the University of Lincoln.

Now an experienced designer, with extensive creative and technical design skills, she leads multifaceted projects for some of our largest clients, including Paddle UK, Greencore and multiple nhs.uk bodies.

His positive impacts have driven our success and benefitted our local communities since he started at Ruddocks 25 years ago.

Paul sees Ruddocks' success as a team effort. However, a good team is built by a great leader!

And although the biggest difference is created through practical actions, we think it's equally valuable to talk about these initiatives in hopes of inspiring others to follow suit.

With this in mind, we've decided to take it into our own hands and apply, and we're so glad we did as he rightfully deserves this recognition! 🙌
