5 FREE TIPS TO GET MORE SALES IN 2023
The last tip is the most important.
1 - Respond to reviews
2 - Leverage existing customers
3 - Ads
4 - Social
5 - Website
.....
1 - Respond to reviews
Any reviews on Facebook, Google or Trustpilot that you've received, be sure to respond to them if they're good reviews and especially bad reviews. This shows customers who are researching your business that you are active and you care about your customers. Show customers you've done everything you can to help customers who had a negative experience.
2 - Leverage existing customers
Turn first time customers in to repeat purchasers by adding a little discount code on a business card in the box of their first order to use on their next order (especially if you're selling on Amazon - they may go direct next time). Be sure to entice people to subscribe to your mailing list, but make it fun - offer something of value when you send a newsletter out (if you're an IT company, you could send out scam alert emails). Your website can integrate with something like Mailchimp so you don't have to enter email addresses manually.
3 - Ads
Google Ads and Facebook & Instagram ads are our go-to when it comes to helping clients reach more customers. You're paying per click but you can reach your target market much faster with an ad budget of just £3 per day.
4 - Social
Creating high-quality and emotional posts on social media is what everybody should be doing. Most businesses I see just post about their own products - it's boring and nobody cares (unless you're Apple). If you're a car dealership, you could post facts about a car that's for sale (such as the top speed, what the first vintage design looked like back in 1960-something, etc.) to appeal to car enthusiasts. If you sell oil for heating homes (even something as boring as that), you can put a post out giving people tips on how to stay warmer for less.
5 - Your website
Your website is, most of the time, the final point of a customer's journey before they contact you. They come to your website for information and then if they're happy with what you have to say, they contact you. You need to make your website look good to give a good first impression, read well and be easy for people to contact you (contact details at the top and bottom, contact links all around, etc.). It should also load fast and you should utilise Google Analytics to determine how long people are staying on your website, which pages people are exiting from the most, etc. and then you can make decisions about those pages to improve them.
I hope that gives you a taster and helps spur on some inspiration!

Jake.
I used to set resolutions. I stopped about 3 years ago because resolutions tend to lack specificity, such as 'get a six pack'.
Sure - I'll just pop down to the local gym and pick up my six pack abs. A month later, they're still not here!
Goals are realistic. We know what we're expecting when we say the word 'goals'. We know there's commitment involved and HARD WORK. Lots of tasks over a long period of time until we achieve the goal.
Resolutions are fleeting. Goals, you know you have to be specific to achieve them.

This is what we absolutely believe in and understand. You DO NOT sell the product. You're offering a solution (a relation).
We don't have time to waste, so improving efficiency by purchasing a product that saves you time is a great investment.
