i had a client come to me today with itchy, sore, “tugging” lashes which she wanted removed.

Please please please make sure you look into your lash artist before booking an appointment, it is so important for your lash health that the artist is appropriately trained, insured and takes the time to ensure your lashes are applied properly. ❤️

As you can see from the below photos, these lashes have been applied in clumps, lash fans made with 30+ lashes, applied to 3-4 lashes at once and gallons of glue has been used to stick them down!
✨there should be atleast a 1mm gap from the start of the natural lash to the placement of the fan.
✨there should only be a thin amount of glue applied to the fan and the lash, and it should never touch the lash line or skin as this causes irritation.
✨lashes should be applied in sections and correctly isolated as to ensure that the fans do not stick together and cause itching, clumps and irritation.
✨ fans should be made with a thin base so it is not too heavy on the natural lash it is applied to, you can decide how many lashes to use and the weight depending on the clients natural lash health.

I have had to send this client home with no lashes today, as I personally thought that her lashes were not healthy enough after having these removed, for a new set. Hopefully, with a couple weeks rest from lashes and a good lash routine, she will be able to return to have her lashes done properly, and we can build her lash health back up starting with classics and building back up to Russians. When I removed these lashes, we were left with broken lashes, gaps and irritation.

Please look into your lash tech, practice good lash health, wash lash extensions daily and if they are irritated and sore please return to your lash tech for a removal. It’s really not worth the pain in the long run!💕✨

In the last picture here you can see the difference in the lash fan I removed from the clients lashes to the one I made beside it, the base a lot thinner, a lot less lashes used and a lot lighter. This can still achieve the same look, just a healthier way of doing so. It may take more time, but the lashes will last longer and not destroy your natural lashes.
