Update from Cambodia! Today we were able to help out with a rice drop in our local slum. This gave emergency relief to 35 families and as you can imagine it was a very welcomed help! ❤️ Clare
I am often asked why I put myself through all the fundraisers. Everyone who knows me knows how stressful I find them and everyone around me what’s to kill me because I am a nightmare 😂 BUT below is my reason I put myself through it!
Yesterday Tracey and I walked home with some of our kids that live in a local slum to hand out hygiene essentials that for many are too expensive to pay for themselves when they have mouths to feed. I think it’s so important to see where the kids are coming from and the conditions they live in but I am mindful it can be upsetting for some to see. The families, as always, were so welcoming and keen to chat and laugh with us even though we are terrible at their language!
Update from Cambodia 🇰🇭 As many of you know I brought the money from the last fundraiser over so we could spend it directly where it was needed. I gave a large chunk to the feeding program and then I teamed up with 2 other volunteers to cover all the other essentials needed. We started with stationery, flip flops, clothing, soap and toothpaste. We have sooooo much more to get but it’s a great start ❤️
