What a fantastic week of after school sport for our Year 8 pupils. Basketball, Rugby, Football, Badminton, Running, Netball and Pickleball all took place last week.
It was great to see so many Year 8 pupils involved.
This week after school sport is available for all students in Year 8-11.

A bone-us lesson in wire scuplture in Wednesday Art Club would send chills up your spine...what a skeleton crew of bone-afied artists! We will have a few bones to pick with over which ones are the best - I just want tibia honest!

Please note Cookery Club will run in six week blocks as follows:

Extra Curricular Sport Timetable

After school sport begins next week, Monday 9th September, for Year 8 students ONLY. From Monday 16th September it is open to all.

Breakfast Club is back!! For this week only you do not need to pre-register to attend. Come along and see what is on offer - we have a range of cereals, toast and croissants.
Cost is £1 - payable via the school money app.
Entrance to Breakfast Club is via the Youth Centre door at the bottom of the staff car park.

What a fantastic first two days for our new Year 8 students. They have completed so much: school tours, canteen orientation, finding their classes, making friends, computer assessments - well done everyone!! We look forward to welcoming you all on Monday morning.
Year 8 will meet their form tutors in the Assembly Hall when they arrive at school on Monday morning.

Year 8 Induction Arrangements
We are excited to welcome our new Year 8 students to school tomorrow and Friday. Just a reminder of the arrangements:
- students are the only year group in school on Thursday and Friday this week from 9am - 12pm
- remember to bring a snack for break time
- headphones (wired) required for all
- Year 8 parent info session will be on Friday from 11am in the Assembly Hall
Staff will be on hand to help students find their form classes in the morning.

Students need to arrive promptly at the Laurelhill Youth Centre door within their form class time slot to collect results.

Yesterday our staff enjoyed a very competitive game of netball after school. It was a very close battle between the two teams however some members of staff will need to refresh themselves with the rule book before the next game! Great fun to finish off the term!

The Year 8 finished their swimming programme with a day at Lisburn Leisureplex Fun Pool. The pupils walked to the pool, had lots of fun on the slides and lazy river for 90 mins. We then got chips and a drink and walked back to school.
A great day was had by all and a great day to end our swimming programme
