Rennies Arts & Crafts was started by Ronald Rennie and Jean Rennie in 1965. The business started from selling oil paintings by Jean Rennie around the North West of England. Ronald Rennie used to frame the paintings with help from his sons, Duncan, Steven and Andrew. Every member of the family was involved in selling the paintings from key outdoor sites in the North West, such as the Bluecoat Chamb
We would like to thank you all for your kind messages regarding the closure of Rennies Arts & Crafts Ltd, many have asked about our St Helens store and our online business, these will also be permanently closed tomorrow (27th August 2022), once again we would like to thank all of our customers for their support over the last 42 years, you will be missed.
RENNIES CLOSURE
With great regret we have to announce the imminent closure of Rennies Arts and Crafts. Our final day will sadly be Saturday 27th of August
The escalated move to online buying has been a major factor, but the decision by Liverpool city council to fully pedestrianise Bold Street has proved to be the final straw
We have been trading on Bold Street for 42 years, so closing is a huge wrench.
We pride ourseleves on our service and would like to thank our tremendous staff past and present.
Finally, a very sincere thanks to our landlords Frenson for their support
And a very big thank you to all our loyal customers who have become friends over the years.
