To achieve our objective of equipping our coaches with the necessary skills to address children's fundamental mental health needs, we have successfully conducted the Second Psychological First Aid Training for Visayas Region Coaches and Educators in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

We extend our gratitude to our sponsors at PLDT & Smart Communities, the Local Government of Lapu-Lapu City, Lapu-Lapu City College, and the esteemed millennial psychologist Ms. Riyan Portuguezโ€”for their unwavering support and for continually motivating and providing life-saving skills to our coaches nationwide.

FFH Senior Coach and Social Worker John Rey Obligado has joined forces with Gugma sa Kabataan in the vibrant city of Cagayan de Oro, championing Football for Humanity's crusade against the scourge of Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC).

In a gathering with youth leaders from the heartlands of Cagayan de Oro, Coach John was profoundly moved by the unity and resolve of various government agencies. These agencies, in a remarkable display of solidarity, are guiding the youth towards forging bold solutions and actionable plans to tackle OSAEC in their communities.

Psychological First Aid training for community practitioners was conducted in Cebu, Philippines. The training was supported by the Lapu-Lapu Local Government Unit (LGU), the City Social Welfare and Development Department (CSWD), and the Lapu-Lapu City College.

Our approach is to systematically train our front-line leaders across the Philippines. Practitioners gained essential skills to provide immediate support to children experiencing trauma or crisis. They learned effective communication techniques, stress management strategies, and how to foster resilience. As a result, our front-line leaders are better equipped to respond compassionately and decisively in traumatic situations.

Our partnership with PLDT and Smart Communications, Inc. under Better Today PH and in collaboration with Your Millennial Psychologist serves as a powerful catalyst for psychological interventions in the time of trauma and crisis.

Kobe, a young artist from the heart of Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, visited Manila for an art workshop organised by Football for Humanity (FFH) and Russian artist Alexey Agarkov.

Inspired by a conversation with George, a ten-year-old from the UK who raised funds for the program after a gruelling 6k mud run, Kobe painted a portrait of George as a thank-you gift. Despite limited supplies, Kobe improvised a canvas from discarded flour sacks and wood, creating a masterpiece. As a surprise, the portrait was sent to the UK and presented to Georgeโ€™s family at a school assembly.

These boys exemplify FFH's mission of bringing nations together!

Online s*xual abuse and exploitation of children is a pervasive and daily occurrence. We must take every possible measure to combat this crime. One effective approach is through sports, a powerful platform for educating children. By teaching them to recognize the early signs of abuse and exploitation, we can empower them to SPEAK OUT and TAKE ACTION.

hosts visiting artist, architect, and football enthusiast Alexey Agarkov who conducted an art workshop for 25 children from various FFH groups across the Philippines last Saturday, May 11.

After dividing the children into teams, Alexey encouraged and inspired them to work together and create their own team mascot representing their team's best qualities. Later on, he asked the children to focus on their individual creations and imbue each image with their own "superpower".

It's refreshing to see the children work with other children whom they've met for the first time. Instead of competing, they had to work together intensely, under time pressure, to express themselves with paints and crayons and all sorts of colouring materials to come out with fantastic images of their dreams.

Thank you Alexey for this inspiring experience and we eagerly look forward to the next set of super images from our talented young artists at Football for Humanity!
