The oldest and friendliest club in Liverpool. The Cabin Club was located at the top of Wood Street opposite the the bombed-out church.
It was the last "closed door" club in Liverpool. Very famous for the carousel horse in the basement and original 70's decoration.
Today would have been Brian's birthday.
He started the Cabin Club back in 1960.
If you had the chance to meet him you would not forget and most likely think fondly of him. Lollipops and after 8s would be his epitaph. He was an essential worker of his day, he made people smile and gave them a safe, affordable wonderful place to enjoy a night out, if you could get in.
