Bladder cancer is a serious condition, but early detection can make a big difference. Learn about the signs, symptoms, and treatments by visiting https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/bladder-cancer/

David's story is not just about his fight against cancer but also about the power of community support. He talks about how his wife found a bladder cancer forum that connected him with others facing similar challenges. Inspired, David started his own support group โ€“ a supportive space where patients and carers share stories and offer mutual support.

Now back to full health, David shares his unrestricted life post-recovery and emphasises the importance of seeking medical advice at the first sign of trouble. His message is clear: early detection and the right support can lead to a full and rewarding life after bladder cancer.

The Rebuild General Practice campaign is calling on the Government to address the issues in our profession. General practice has been in a crisis for many years. This is down to decades of neglect from successive governments and it is putting patient safety at risk.

We know that currently:

There are 6 million more patients on the books;

GPs carry out 400 million annual appointments;

And 90% of NHS contact is in primary care

As GPs we want our patients to know โ€“ weโ€™re on your side. We want to be there for you and your family whenever you need us. But this is getting harder and harder.

If you want your GP to be there for you and your family, you can help us. Take a look at the campaign video and go to www.rebuildgp.co.uk/for-our-patients for more information
