We are delighted to share that our research was featured in a recent article in The Telegraph that discussed the new rules of getting older.

The ageing process can massively impact a person psychologically as they feel like their identity is changing. Although more people are rejecting the idea that we must age in a certain way, a large proportion of people would not rule out a cosmetic ‘tweak’ to help them look younger.

Our research found that 3 million people in the UK are looking to undergo a cosmetic procedure in 2022. This may stem from new attitudes towards cosmetic treatments – It is much less of a taboo now to seek cosmetic treatments to combat the signs of ageing and to help with self-confidence.

We are so pleased that , leading cosmetic surgeon and CMO of Uvence, was featured in a recent article to discuss how we can combat the effects of winter and alcohol on our skin.

Dr Olivier shared his tips which include staying hydrated, wearing SPF, reducing screen time and looking to natural ‘tweakments’ such as Uvence to rejuvenate and plump the skin. Uvence’s innovative system utilises the patient’s own cells which are injected into the target area which improves the appearance of the skin.

It was also brilliant to see Dr Olivier praised as a master of refinement, with a reputation built from unique techniques that turn aesthetic procedures into an art form.

We are extremely pleased to have had our research feature in MSN with comments from our very own Dr Olivier Amar!

Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have noticed a spike in patient demand for treatments and we are currently seeing many patients asking about skin texture treatments.

We believe that this is partly due to the amount of time we all spent on social media during the various lockdown periods and people’s desire to mimic a filtered face.

If you’re interested in finding out more, visit https://www.msn.com/en-ie/lifestyle/style/study-finds-nearly-40percent-of-people-prefer-a-filtered-face-over-their-real-one/ar-AAMUIZK

Uvence has been featured in a great article for The Mail Online discussing selfie filters and photo editing.

We shared our research which revealed that one fifth of Brits are no longer posting photos on social media without a filter and 37% have said they prefer their edited face to their real one.
These filters offered on social media apps have a negative impact on a third of social media users’ self-esteem, and has led many peopleseeking rejuvenating cosmetic treatments such as Uvence.

At Uvence, we always ensure that patients are seeking treatment for the right reasons before going ahead with the procedure. We always recomend that our patients take some time to decide whether surgery is right for them first.

Our very own Dr Olivier Amar discussed the Uvence treatment in a great article with Mayfair Times regarding “tweakments” post-lockdown, which is particularly relevant right now.

Lots of male patients are also noticing the visible impact of lockdown on their appearances, particularly through the signs of ageing and stress. They are seeking non-invasive procedures that involve very little downtime.

Here at Uvence, the patient’s cells are harvested by initial micro or mini liposuction, then transported to a laboratory to undergo purification. The extracted tissue from these cells is cryogenically stored and then transported to the patient. The treatment is minimally invasive, naturally based and bespoke.

The cosmetics arena has significantly evolved over the past few years, as the focus has shifted from dramatic surgeries to smaller and subtle tweakments.

As more people want to achieve the natural look through undetectable procedures rather than extreme increased mass, the difference between types of treatment has been heightened, placing focus on natural treatments such as Uvence.

Uvence treatments are designed for improving skin quality and bio remodelling.

In the initial procedure, Adipose (fat) tissue is extracted from the patient via micro cannula liposuction which is then stored and processed into Uvence Super Enriched Tissue and then frozen.

One of the key benefits is that Uvence saves the super enriched tissue in a nearby NHS approved storage facility where the cells are cryogenically stored and preserved indefinitely, with the ability for a patient to access their Super Enriched Tissue for up to five years after the date of the first procedure.

This week, our blog discusses what Brits have been doing to prepare themselves for heading back into the office.

Many have been scheduling in appointments with their hairdressers, beauticians and cosmetic surgeons. What we have noticed however, is that lots of people are now opting for more natural and subtle tweakments rather than more dramatic surgeries.

Uvence is an example of an effective and natural cosmetic treatment – the procedure utilises the regenerative potential of one’s own purified cells for skin rejuvenation, improving the overall texture of skin over the long-term.

Our CEO, Reece Tomlinson, spoke to Glamour Magazine about how a lack of access to beauty treatments impacted our mental health during lockdown.

As Reece explains, “By removing the ability to receive treatments, some patients are experiencing higher levels of stress and anxiousness due to the potential impact that not having a treatment may have on their appearance.”

Moreover, we found that 2,590,000 people in the UK feel more comfortable telling their hairdresser or beauty technician personal information than they do friends and family, so it goes without saying that many have missed going into the clinic.

We believe that now, more than ever, patients are looking for a more natural look and have become more careful about what they put in their bodies.
