Today, La Mamma Italiana offers you rigatoni (cooked al dente) with our red prawns from Mazara del Vallo in Sicily (they are the best!) marinated for 15/20 min with our organic vinegar with cranberries, it's delicious!
Then, we sautΓ© them in a pan over high heat with some beautiful cherry tomatoes salt, pepper and of co,urse extra virgin olive oil, fresh basil, and .... the piatto is served!

On May 12th, , the world's most influential pizza guide, awarded the best pizzerias in Europe (excluding Italy).
Pizzeria in Paris was chosen as the best pizzeria in Europe, followed by in Madrid and the third place was in London.
We had the pleasure to present the award to the London pizzeria run by Ciro Salvo, with the special MADE IN ITALY 2022 MAMMAFIORE award.
The Trafalgar Square pizzeria received this important award that sums up our mission: to guarantee the quality of Italian pizza in the world.
We thank , Luciano Pignataro, and Albert Sapere for this gala and for spreading the word about the commitment and daily work of the pizzaiolos.

The cherry tomato sauce from our manufacturer is made from the best ingredients. Elaborated according to natural processes, it is low in acidity and preserves the sweetness of Sicilian tomatoes. Here it is with a dash of chilli π

This is a traditional southern Italian recipe, perfect for a family meal. It's easy to cook and if you use the same quality ingredients, you're sure to come out with a delicious dish. In the recipe we have used:
βͺοΈ Gragnao artisan pasta / for a gluten-free version, try
βͺοΈ tomato sauce
βͺοΈ cheese ( before using it, as it's fresh, leave it in the fridge for a few days to lose the water ).
βͺοΈ lots of parmesan cheese, in the cooked sauce and on top, before serving.

The story of the famous "Befana's sock" has a long origin. A legend explains that Numa Pompilius, one of the seven famous kings of Rome, used to hang a sock in a cave during the winter solstice to receive gifts from a nymph.
Over time, the Befana became known as a benevolent witch, a dispenser of the fruits of the earth. Her food gifts, such as nuts, apples and oranges, should be interpreted as primitive offerings which, by recalling the seeds of the earth, have a propitiatory function. Today, children who have behaved well during the year receive a sock full of chocolate and sweets to celebrate the christmas festivities. And you children, do you receive it ? π
