NAFP is the only UK association that campaigns solely for independent and voluntary sector fostering providers (IFPs). Every year, IFPs care for more children and their foster carers make a special contribution to the lives of children. NAFP understands their unique role. Our mission is:
To be the voice of the independent and voluntary fostering sector for children and young people, and to promote high standards of professional and business practice within the membership
Our members represent over 90% of children placed in the independent and voluntary sector across England, Scotland and Wales. We hold regular regional meetings and campaign locally, regionally and nationally for a level playing field in the placement of children and commissioning of foster care. Membership is open to all registered independent fostering providers - by working together, we will be stronger.
