Animal advocates are supposed to speak up for animals, not for people who are more than capable of speaking up for themselves. Money given to scammers is precious money down the drain because scammers are never going to use the money for the benefit of the dogs for the simple reason they are using the suffering of the dogs and cats to get donations. These people are among the lowest of the low, stealing not only from the dogs who are in such desperate need of help but those rescuers who care enough to work hard to help them often on a shoestring. Dog meat trade scammers are cunning parasites who know how to appeal to people to give them money and deceive them, but the money is not going to help the dogs, it’s going into the pocket of the scammers and also to the dog meat butchers. This has been going on too long and it needs to stop now. How can we know what joy and hope dogs feel when someone comes to rescue them? Or what depth of horror, sadness and despair they feel when someone they thought had come to rescue them, had other plans for them - plans that did not include a forever loving home.
