We're a few weeks into our 4 month winter residency back at , and we've started to settle in and find our feet nicely.

We had a lot of unfinished business with this pub, with a lot of dishes which we didn't get the chance to bring to the plate on the last run. So we're here until FEBRUARY to scratch that itch.

Sticky black bean short rib, pulled pork toast, and a naughty smoked brisket pie, to name a few.

Latino Power…

Pedro has been knocking up his cheesecake for quite a few months now, and I must say, he's hit almost perfection with it.

Vanilla and orange peel, slowly baked in the oven, and finished in a dying smoker. He also has this method of taking a glowing orange chunk of coal and dropping it in the mix to infuse before cooking. Then brûléed to finish

Every mouthful has that crispy caramelised top, followed by the silkiest light cheesecake that melts in your mouth.

The guys nailed it.

There's not even any need to serve anything with it. Just a spoon, which you'll almost end up eating once the plate is cleared.

On the menu every Sunday as an after roast treat.

Our monthly Butchery Masterclass focuses on a different animal each time, with our preferred method of breaking down for our needs at the restaurant.

The first Masterclass involved the beef "roasting joint" which demonstrated all the different prime cuts and our method for cooking each one.

The next Masterclass on the 12th of September features an FTA favourite, The Glorious P.I.G.

The class includes:-

Only a few weeks left to grab our Summer Sunday Roast before we throw the sides back up, admit defeat, and start our process of denial that Summer is over, and the winter months are creeping in.

With the Euros and private events we've had over the summer, the roast was a bit stop start, but we have thoroughly enjoyed cooking it when it's been on.

In case you've missed it, you can choose either chicken, porchetta, smoked strip loin, or pit squash with a burnt summer salad, fat potatoes, and a punchy green sauce.

The end of Summer Roasts means your old trusty gravy and Yorkshire puds are making a comeback!

Bookings are now open for winter roasts, starting back on the 15th of September.
