A big shoutout to Shaftesbury Capital. Today we visited St Peter’s Primary School in London with Shaftesbury Capital as part of our ‘Right to Read’ initiative to handover 6 boxes of new books worth £2,000.

The afternoon was heart warming - it was beautiful to see all the twinkling eyes and happy smiles. The children excitedly selected their favourite reads and the school motto ‘Reading changes lives' strongly resonated throughout the visit.

We recently collaborated with Touchwood Shopping Centre in Solihull for ‘Right to Read’, to fund £1,500 worth of library books to St Augustine CofE Primary School.

Lucy Burnett, Marketing Manager at Touchwood, said: “We are thrilled to support St Augustine’s Catholic Primary School with this donation. The ability to read is such a valuable skill in life, and by being a part of this important initiative we hope to inspire a lifelong love of reading and passion for education for the children in our local community.”

‘Right to Read’ addresses the falling literacy levels and aims to improve the life chances of the young by making books more accessible to Primary School children.

We are back with another AMAZATHON, to help you 'Fundraise whilst Reading'.

It’s been our most popular fund raising activity to raise funds for school libraries. Each participant also gets a free book!

Last year my daughter came home from school with a book to read over the summers. And I thought it was the best end of academic year gift ever!

It wasn’t a book which she would have picked up herself and found she loved the new style of book to explore.

She read the book over the summer break, discussed it with friends when they met over play dates and it was lovely to see they interpreted parts differently!

Fast forward to school reopening: After 6 weeks at home the book became the highlight of the initial settling back in days. The class carried out fun activities around the book and made the transition back in extremely smooth and exciting!

Would really recommend looking in to summer reading with year teachers and encourage reading.

Finally when the sun is out … we’ve been busy Christmas book shopping.

Over 60,000 books already ordered but so much more to go. Turning out to be great selection :)

UPDATE: We’ve had several messages and emails today asking about the Topsy and Tim books. Although we had good stock earlier today the evening has been busy and we now have limited quantity remaining.
