Taking cues from the classic Banker’s Light, British designer John Tree merged archetypal references with his contemporary, colourful sensibility to create the Apex Table Lamp for . The folded steel shades create a peaked roofline silhouette, providing the inspiration behind the lamp’s name as well as offering a graphic contrast to the chrome-plated bases. The round base and angled arm are complemented by a colourful shade that can rotate 360 degrees, allowing users to direct light to suit their needs. The Apex Table Lamp offers a functional lighting solution for a multitude of spaces and uses, from a task light on a desk to a reading lamp on a bedside cabinet.

The Ozz designed by Paolo Cappello and Simone Sabatti for works in many ways. Two elements, a lamp and a small trinkets tray, supported by a shape reminiscent of a tuning fork, face each other and seem to dialogue in a well-defined rhythm, the rhythm of light. When Ozz is switched off, it serves as a small coffee table; when the lamp is on, it creates a warm, welcoming space where light seems to gather around the top, creating a homely intimacy. Ozz strikes a cheerful note in your home’s narratives.

Initially designed to make use of surplus wooden shipping crates by Dutch architect and designer Gerrit Rietveld in 1934, the iconic Crate Collection has been relaunched in a Rietveld Originals x HAY collaboration. The collection comprises of a lounge chair, dining chair, low table and side table all made with respect for the original design.

Teddy bear soft fabric- by far the most stand out trend at was plush comfy fabric. There are several fabrics that fit this description the most popular being Bouclé with its ‘teddy bear’ feel, Chenille described as ‘thick, soft velvet’ and Pile commonly used in carpets but it feels so soft you could melt into it. We noticed these fabrics in neutral palettes of whites & creams throughout the fair but to name a few Gala sofa and Oltremare sofa, Gast sofa and Duo sofa.
Proof that the design worlds obsession with the knobby fabric is here to stay.

Outdoors is the new Indoors- a noticeable trend at the first full-fledged version of the since the pandemic.
unveiled its new outdoors collection set in an expansive green space amid olive trees. Collections included the Atlante light daybed and Camargue family, both designed by Antonio Citterio. The aluminium structures with a vibrant terracotta colour and cushions upholstered in an exquisite shade of light blue was a pairing expressing the signature sense of serene and elegance inherent to Flexform style.

As the lockdown had people everywhere giving thanks for their outdoor domestic spaces so too is the furniture industry making the transition from poolside to bedside easier than ever this year.
