Happy Halloween from all of us ghouls at Persepolis ….
We did it! Persepolis A Team and Persepolis B Team completed their walks (10k an 50k respectively) in the Kentish Downs (which we are now petitioning to rename the Kentish Ups as we walked solidly uphill, all the way) and we have raised nearly £3000 for Breast Cancer Now. But we are still collecting, so if you do have a couple of quid spare, do consider donating. Pretty Please?

Whoop whoop! We are hosting our first ever gig. On 26th September we will be having a live jazz evening on the terrace with the deeply and importantly talented Sound Anthropology (featuring the lovely Ayana, whom some might know as one of our waitresses) providing the music... Just come for the vibes, or dine and listen at the same time.
Get us - all grown up with our own Eventbrite account now:
Live Music at Persepolis Our first ever rooftop gig! Featuring our very own waitress/amazing DJ/singer Ayana, with her band Sound Anthropology.

Such a nice surprise to meet our new MP Miatta Fahnbulleh today. She’s funny, vivacious and inspires confidence all round. We obviously miss Harriet Harman Qc MP (Camberwell & Peckham), but this new lady has us full of optimism 😍
12 years ago today...when the Olympic torch was handed over by Amitabh Bachchan right outside Persepolis. We're on all the important routes you know.
New merch! PerSEpol15 t-shirts and vests now in store!!
Heads up: you can still order on the Persepolis website - and we can still process your card payments in store...
Meanwhile in restaurant kitchens up and down the country… Mind you that’s dedication: many kitchen staff would have tried to blag the day off.
Heads up we’re screening the football in the restaurant whilst the roof terrace is a telly free zone.
So our private dining suite downstairs has had a little makeover c/o one of our resident artists, the deeply and importantly talented Maya. We’re loving the fiery walls and new lighting. Call us to book your exclusive events… (seats up to 36)
So we had a great Deep Clean Day yesterday (sorry for any inconvenience caused: we only do it once a month), not least because of the free half term labour. Train ‘em young, we say 🤣
So we’ve had a little facelift. The front of the building has been repointed (carefully minding our fab ‘confectionery’ ghost sign) and our front facing paintwork has been highlighted in bright yellow.
The original Persepolis was obviously built over 2500 years ago, but even this branch is steeped in history. It was erected circa 1860 and (barring brief stints as a record shop and an undertakers 😳) it has pretty much always purveyed confectionery to the lovely people of Peckham (a tradition we’re honoured to continue)…
Some great photos in this mini photo project showcasing Peckham's small businesses...
THE VOICE OF PECKHAM The Voice of Peckham Peckham stands at a crucial junction that will shape its future for generations. Hmmm. Maybe we'll have a retro night and just cook this menu. Whaddya reckon? 🤣
London's First Vegetarian Restaurant The Oxford Street home of lentil cutlets and porridge.
We rarely toot our own trumpets or share the lovely things people say about our little corner empire, but this kind review of our mail order service had us very chuffed. Especially as we are not Amazon and the enterprise mostly comprises a small table and a very busy Mrs S and her trusty box tape.
