OKRA STEW

Ok so this might just be the first time I have said this butttt... I preferred this vegan version to the meat version I made yesterday. It was a toss up between the two really but this one edged it ever so slightly. The big juicy grilled mushrooms, charred aubergine and red pepper were just as comforting as meat (actually a little more) 😋.

So if meat is not your jazz but you still want to enjoy the Nigerian inspired flavours of Okra Stew - I would definitely recommend this. I'm biased of course ha but feel free to try and see for yourself...😉

Hey guys, so it's been just over a month since I launched '...& food' and without question I can say I become more and more passionate about it everyday. I literally feel like I have birthed my very own baby through which I am learning so much and of course obsessed with ha. But anyway enough of that tangent 😅.

Through the journey so far one of the things I have learnt is the importance of scaling - as much as I would love to believe that I have eight tentacles and can do everything, sadly that is not the case. I was spreading myself way too thin so therefore I present to you the more simplified menu - okra stew, pepper sauce and coconut beans.

Hopefully in the future I will be able to add more to the menu when I get an extra pair of hands to help me out or even two!
