Magical Taxi Tour 2024
We had the incredible honour of catering for the Children’s Magical Taxi Tour again this year!
This heartwarming event, organised by the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers, brings over 200 children with serious illnesses on an unforgettable journey to Disneyland Paris. The convoy leaves from Canary Wharf and stretches over three miles at points, with more than 90 taxis, London Ambulance’s, the City of London Police, The AA and Gendarmerie Nationale escorts in tow!
From Mickey Mouse pancakes to live brass band performances, it was a morning filled with laughter, smiles, and hope. We’re grateful to everyone at The Pelligon and our 30 Team MV volunteers who helped make it possible!
We are so grateful to be part of this magical experience and to support the brave children and their families. We can’t wait to do it all again next year! 💛

Last weekend saw us celebrate the wedding of our Head of Planning, Bethany Dare, and her partner David. If you know Bethany, then you would expect nothing less than a shot of “baby Guinness” as they start their journey as a married couple. It was a day filled with laughter, joy, and a whole lot of dancing!
We were absolutely honoured for Moving Venue to cater their wedding at Wildberry Farm, and our team was so happy to be a part of their special day.

Asparagus, Lemon, Chilli
There’s still a couple of weeks left to savour the British Asparagus season, ending on June 21st! Here at MV, we like to use ingredients whilst they are at their peak, and this seasonal starter allows asparagus to truly shine. Indulge in our asparagus mousse with preserved lemon mayo, chilli and sunflower seed granola, and asparagus salsa.

What many don’t know is that each menu and tasting is meticulously designed around a client’s brief and venue requirements, with planners, operations and our chef brigade collaborating to ensure you receive the same exceptional quality at your tasting as you will at your event.
British Beef Week
It’s British beef week and to celebrate, we’re showcasing one of our favourite dishes this season; Beef, Beetroot, Squash.
This dish is made with ’ single muscle rump (found between the sirloin and topside) which is lean and doesn’t contain much fat. It’s an excellent alternative to a more expensive fillet cut. Did you know that we dry cure and air dry the meat in house? The meat is cured in Maldon salt, fresh rosemary and thyme before going into our fridges for 3 days with air circulating around it. This process ensures the meat is incredibly tender and really helps to enhance the flavour, ready for our events!
Accompanied by spiralised pickled British beetroots and a purée of UK-grown watercress, plus a delicious seasonal squash and mustard and tarragon dressing, this dish is a real winner and certainly champions excellent quality British beef!
Springboard Excellence Awards
Last week, we were thrilled to cater this incredible annual awards ceremony for the second time, with our parent company as the headline sponsor. Chloe Jackson, Group Managing Director, delivered the opening remarks with a focus on generating both passion and innovation in our industry.
We are so proud to support the Springboard charity; their work is dedicated to supporting disadvantaged and unemployed people of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life to fall in love with the hospitality sector and open doors for them that may have been previously closed. This is a cause very near to our hearts and a vital one for our industry.
Duck, Rhubarb, Chicory
This impactful dish boasts some incredible flavour pairings; a beautifully cooked Merryfield duck breast, a zesty and pickled Yorkshire rhubarb purée, glazed chicory braised with orange and topped with a walnut and lemon crumb, a Parmesan polenta ‘chip’ and a rich orange-infused jus.
These all come together to create a mouthwatering dish that is sure to be popular over the coming months!
A Perfect Day!
We were so honoured to plan and cater Annabel and David’s wedding earlier this month. It was a hugely special day for us to be a part of and we had so much fun working with the couple to create a day they’ll remember forever.
The bride said “Wow, just wow. I don’t even know where to begin. I want to let you know how much of a joy and privilege it was to witness Moving Venue and the team at their best and see it first hand as a guest. It was a masterclass in hospitality! […]
I’ve used the word perfect a few too many times, but there is no better word as it was simply perfection. The wines were perfectly chilled, the service was impeccable and the detail of serving together in unison and the formal wine service didn’t go unnoticed by David and I, nor our guests. You truly went above and beyond.
So just a huge thank you to you all for making it the best day of our lives. You really are the best team and I’m so grateful to you all.”

Showcasing Automotive Excellence
Earlier this year, we were thrilled to cater Lotus’ exclusive 5 day showcase for their all-electric Lotus Eletre and the supercar-inspired Lotus Emira. Framed by the impressive glass roof of , guests admired the cars framed by views of the skyline by day and a beautiful starry sky at night. Incredible!
Longing for Spring 🌷
Just as we saw the glimmer of sunnier evenings there are reports of snow and temperatures in the minuses! We aren't letting that dampen our spirits though and are looking forward to the coming months full of seasonal Spring ingredients.
This dish consisting of roast cutlet of lamb, crispy lamb belly, pickled cucumber, crushed new potatoes, salad of peas, asparagus and broad beans epitomises this British season!

The Science Museum’s ‘Exploring Space’ gallery offers the perfect backdrop to create bespoke and styled dishes. We loved creating this ‘Space’ themed dessert station with ‘Passion fruit Planets’, ‘Chocolate Shooting Stars’ and a glow in the dark Jelly Tower, all completed with billowing dry ice!
Grapefruit, Yoghurt, Coconut
It's the beginning of March and a beautifully sunny day; could this be the beginning of Spring? Perhaps we're getting ahead of ourselves however, that hasn't stopped us longing for one of our favourite Spring desserts. This dish consists of pink grapefruit marmalade, yogurt whipped ganache, coconut biscuit and fresh grapefruit. Looks too good to eat, but tastes too good not to!

The grandeur of ’s Great Hall provided an exceptional backdrop to this stunning dinner we recently catered for designed by . We treated guests to a sumptuous four course bespoke 'Best of British' dinner with paired wines all introduced by our Head Chef.
