Aldi have granted exclusive access to their run up to Christmas 2023. Now the fourth largest supermarket in the UK, they’re gearing up for their biggest Christmas yet. But, with a smoked salmon not well-dressed enough for a Christmas party and a giant chocolate bauble falling apart before it even leaves the factory, things aren’t looking very merry.

At Aldi HQ, Julie Ashfield, managing director of buying, is on the hunt for a new star product to lure in customers. Is a pigs-in-blanket ice cream a step too far, even for Aldi? Meanwhile, their marketing agency think they have the perfect viral stunt to draw customers to stores. It might be their brightest idea yet, or it could be a very public festive flop.
