Maurizio wanted to create an interior scheme that had a slick appeal without it becoming overtly opulent, so he chose grey and black matt marble surfaces and removed the Herringbone flooring, replacing it with large, long floorboards to create a more contemporary feel.

The owners wanted a modern city home that incorporated the ‘Americano’ look and drew on Maurizio for his experience and expertise at Ralph Lauren. SCOTTISH MANSION - Kitchen

The brief was to bring a dash of the Cote D’Azur to the Scottish Highlands. The space was a new extension to an eighteenth-century family house, complete with several bedrooms, a kitchen and a turret with a bell-tower.

SURREY HILLS COUNTRY MANSION - Guest Bedroom

The client was keen to incorporate existing pieces of furniture from various family trips abroad into the new design. These pieces were distributed amongst the rooms in the house, and used as the inspiration behind each room’s individual colour scheme and feel, creating an eclectic yet personal overall design aesthetic.

Maurizio carried out major structural work on the period property, adding an extra bedroom and bathroom on the top floor, and excavating the basement to add a cinema room, a sauna and steam room and two further bedrooms for guests with a separate entrance.

The owners, a professional couple just married and now with three children had very clear ideas; they wanted, a comfortable family home not a showhome. The only big constraint was that the work had to be done in record time, before the birth of their third child. The tight design schedule had its advantages, forcing quick and intuitive design decisions.

The owner of this loft space in East London wanted a minimal bachelor pad with glass walls, a blue colour scheme and industrial features. Maurizio Pellizzoni satisfied the client’s requests and added soft furnishings, subtle patterns and various textures to create a cool, contemporary space.

The base of the interior scheme was designed to be as soft as possible and Maurizio chose a simple palette so not to detract the attention away from the focal point of the rugs on display. The customer journey has been a key focus for Maurizio’s design so that they can choose a new rug for their home or for the many interior designers using Colbourns for their project.

The brief was to create a luxurious and practical family home that would be timeless in design. There was a conflicting style in the existing scheme and a pale cream colour dominated the canvas covering all the beautiful woodwork and concealed the actual 10ft height of the rooms.

LECTURE THEATRE AT MASTERPIECE 2017

Maurizio is delighted to announce his partnership at Masterpiece 2017 where he has designed the Lecture Theatre this year. Located on the South Grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, Masterpiece is an unmissable art fair at the height of the capital’s summer arts season, 29 – 5th July 2017.

The re-design was a general upgrade of all that had been done beforehand including architectural fittings and decoration. The modern building was a mixed-use development and the challenge was injecting warmth into the interior.

The bedrooms overlook the bustling streets, whereas, pivoting full height glazed windows feature across the length of the living area offering a view of the modern terrace and extending the space to the outdoors dramatically in the summer months. Two long adjacent corridors run alongside the central enclosed cube, which ensures an abundance of natural light flows throughout the apartment.

Ralph Lauren wicker furniture features throughout the home in organic forms that are complemented by the lighting, which Maurizio personally selected. He meticulously sourced pieces that would enhance each space without detracting from the natural light that flows beautifully from room to room.
