Hello everyone

Now I’ve had a little time to recover and spend the day with the Spartan Baby while Sarah was at work, I feel comprehensible to write this post up.

What a 24 hour event that was. Kim was absolutely blown away by the generosity and support shown by so many people. We couldn’t have done this without all of you, of which there are too many of you to name in one go but from the bottom of our hearts thank you all.

I do want to take a moment to give special thanks to TheOlderGamer, CmdrAndrewJohnson, GrandadAU, Rainman and Brother Sabathius in their support and joining in with their communities, and Nikki Dangerous and Orange Phoenix for promoting despite not being able to directly attend.

Alongside these people, an even more special shoutout needs to go to the BSG Staff Team and BSG Clan who took considerable time out of their weekend to take shifts and put in considerable time to both play and be present during the stream. Thank you guys for once again putting up with these hare-brained shenanigans that I come up with.

I wasn’t the only one to complete the challenge, even ScottishWill managed to pull the full 24 hours, so big love to you old man.

We are going to keep the page live until Friday, should anyone wish to donate.

So for the next 24 hours I'll be sat here blasting away and trying to to fall asleep to raise money along side the community for Macmillan Cancer Support.

ONE DAY TO GO UNTIL OP.MADLAD'24!

That's right it's just over 7 days until this year's 24 hour charity event! Kick off will be at 6pm GMT on the 30th March

For this year’s instalment of 24 hours of charity madness are raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support focusing on Elite Dangerous - That's right 24 hours of Elite Dangerous combat be it ground, bounties or Thargoids, we will be fighting as a unit for the duration.

Our chosen charity this year will be Macmillan Cancer Support. I don't think anyone here hasn't been affected in any way by the horrible thing that is Cancer. Defy and I have almost lost our mums to it and my wife Sarah sadly lost her dad to it, not to mention a lot of friends we have over the past few years. Macmillan are a fantastic organisation that provide unwavering support to those diagnosed through treatment and hopeful recovery, even if that may not be possible.

Instead of starting our own fundraising page this year, we will be using a currently running page that our good friend has set up. Kim is currently undergoing her second diagnosis, which of course she will beat again. Kim has graciously agreed to keep the page running from now until the event and we will be adding to the amazing sum already raised.

There will be a few surprised included which I will keep secret for now but expect some big name streamers to be involved and giveaways to be included for those who donate to this great cause.

I'm really happy to say that we have some big names involved this year, such as Brother_Sabathius, Nikki_Dangerous, Rainman, TheOlderGamer and CmdrAndrewJohnson, not to mention giveaways to be included for those who donate to this great cause.

Of course as always I will be the only one expected to do the full 24 hours, but I'm sure I won't be the only one.
