Dusty Dinners are back in full swing, inviting the hottest chefs in town to lay on a feast while we give the bakery a night-time makeover and squeeze in a hungry crowd for two cosy sittings of delectable recipies.
On the 15th of November we’re showcasing the power of food as a communal celebration, with host of the Malay Supper Club Ranie Saidi.
Ranie’s culinary journey has taken him from the traditions learned through his late Grandmother - who lovingly prepared dishes for many a special occasion - to sharing that heritage with the contemporary London food scene. His Dusty Dinners menu is designed to evoke a traditional Malay wedding; where community connects, great food is shared, and stories are told.

Daisy is the one who runs this monstrous beast of a bakery and she’s a flippin boss. Back in the day she was doing the night bakes in the shipping container on her ones. It was cold and miserable and very hard on the old mental faculties. But her spirits stayed high and she grabbed the dough by the ba***ag and she never looked back. We have all learnt a lot from Dais 💪🏼💪🏼

Nowadays she’s on live TV left right and centre. Light work.
Last time she went on the show she almost became a meme! 🐈🎹

We’re giddy to announce the return of Dusty Dinners.
For the newbies, Dusty Dinners are one-off collabs we host in the warmth of our Dalston Bakery once Autumn kicks off.
It’s a perfect formula; invite some of the hottest chefs around to devise an outrageous menu, load up the bar, light some candles, and get everyone up close and personal in the cafe for a right old munch and flirt.
Earlier this year we hosted beautiful chefs , De Has and Ido to name a few, and are ending the year with a bang 💥
First up we’re welcoming , with her night ‘Don’t Waste Your Pumpkin’.
Emily’s laying on a zero-waste pumpkin harvest feast to celebrate the launch of her new book ‘Don’t Waste Your Pumpkin’ (and yeah, the date is no coincidence 🎃 )
Her menu showcases local, seasonal ingredients and uses the whole pumpkin - DK bread offcuts become crumb coating for the croquettes, pumpkin skins are roasted into crisps, and beetroot stems are pickled to garnish.
It’s four courses of a skin-to-seed, veg-forward showpiece.

-Leek and white bean dip, honeyed IPA pumpkin seeds, pumpkin skin chips, confit garlic Dusty Knuckle flatbreads

Saturday night we threw the biggest DK party ever and fackin’ ‘ell it was one to remember!
We’ve been very bleary eyed this week and wondering exactly what just happened 😂😂 but a sweaty rave and rooftop vibes defo felt like the perfect way to celebrate 10 yrs of DK, and how far the youth programme has come.
We can’t thank you guys enough for showing up and shaking a leg with us up on the roof, it means so much to us. The community you’ve helped us to create is in fact the very ingredient that helps carry us and our trainees forwards in our lives...and that in turn means we can keep baking your fly-ass pastries and pouring you that strong coffee you want. One big beautiful circle.
Everyone from the trainees and staff, to our headline music and food friends has shared what a great time they had with you, all while walking away with a better understanding of the training programme and what we do here.
Gotta give a special word and big love to the music, food, and drink headliners on the night. The exceptional support from all these DK family members made the night what it was, we couldn’t have done it without you all ❤️

Tomorrow we are having a lie-in. All Dusty Knuckle sites are opening at 11am tomorrow for all day brekkie, with toasties and soup on the go from 11.30. Be gentle with the staff will ya?
If you turn up before 11 you’re likely to find empty bottles everywhere and a sticky floor.
