This weekend we have DJ Smokey alongside Stewart on Friday night and the Mighty Las on Saturday night. All welcome.

Just to let you know our opening hours have changed to 1.30am on Friday nights and 1am on Saturday nights.

This weekend at The Flower of Kent we have DJ Bas on Friday night and on Saturday it's DJ Smokey.
So start your weekend at the Flower but remember no admission after midnight and no re-admittance. Also over 25 year olds , keeping it a Big people pub.

As a community pub we aim to maintain good neighbourly relationships. Please abide by our Licencing rules...at weekends there is no entry or re entry after midnight and we urge you to come before that time rather than face a refusal. Also at the end of the night, please leave the area quickly and quietly. There is ample parking in the large industrial area which is actually behind the pub and the entrance to which is on Lewisham Way near to the storage company. Many thanks.

Yesterday the Flower of Kent had a full internal inspection by Lewisham Council's Health & Hygiene team and we managed to gain a 4 star rating and the only reason we didnt get a 5 star (the highest) was that we dont have a stainless steel kitchen/bar. The chief inspector was very pleased (& so were we !) and said he would have awarded a 5* if we had a modern bar/kitchen.
So congratulations to all the staff, Lana the cook & Ray our caretaker/cleaner.

Please come before midnight or you wont gain entry.

REMINDER......:..There is no entry or re-entry after midnight on Friday AND Saturday. So please come early to avoid being turned away. (Not our choice but we have to abide by the rules to keep the pub going)

Neighbours ! Making our life difficult with Lewisham Council at the moment.
Our licence states NO ENTRY OR RE-ENTRY after midnight. We do have to enforce this even though we might not agree with it. So come early - before midnight otherwise you will have to be turned away. Sorry.

The Royal Wedding on Saturday...ahhhh, we will be open from 10am and Doreen will be your hostess with the mostest! We are showing it on 2 screens and in honour of Meghan Markle's Caribbean ancestry, there will be a meal deal of £5 throughout the daytime of authentic West Indian cooking. In the evening we have a party too with DJ Bas playing the music.

This Sunday we have an extension for Karaoke and music till 1am. Its also a change of compere as John cant do it so we have Tony Jokey Karaoke to entertain you !

Vinyl Night on Thursday with late licence till 1.30am.
DJ Frenchy on Friday night till 2am.
DJ Senator B on Saturday night till 2am.
Karaoke & Music on Sunday night till 1.30am.
Free entry but NO admission after midnight.

With the late licences we were granted over the holiday period it's probably been like old times before the Police and licensing decided to clamp down. We finish this weekend with a BBQ and music - shame about the weather though! Yes, we have found a new bar person as well !

Looking for barmaid to join the team. At present on Sundays evenings 8 till midnight but covering staff absence and holidays.
