The foot has two main function in gait first is pronation and the second is supination. Pronation is when the foot collapsed as absorbs the shock when the leading foot hits the ground. Supination is when your foot becomes a more solid structure when we are pushing off. Any restrictions within these two mechanics can cause any type of pain with the foot or ankle and up the chain in the system causing pain in the knees, hips, lower back or even up into shoulders or neck.
