A few years ago, I spent a week at sea with these guys. They looked after me like family despite speaking as little English as I do Maldivian.

Lunch in Antibes was tres bien. I’m around fish everyday but this sort of thing still gets me so excited. Fruits de mer - octopus, langoustines, prawns and squid 🤗

This is Lorri. I met her on a beach in Alaska, teaching her sons how to catch sockeye salmon just as her father and grandfather had taught her. I was struck by how deeply she cared about these fish and keeping stocks healthy for future generations. This is an attitude I have come across time and time again with fishermen and women I have worked with.

It’s people like Lorri that inspired me to start Urchin. They care about the fish, the future and doing things right.
