There has been some historical debate over the origins of the Beef Wellington.
Historians generally believe that the dish is named after Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington, brilliantly portrayed by our very own Rupert Everett in Ridley Scott's recent blockbuster film Napoleon.
However some say, that the dish's similarity to the French 'filet de bœuf en croûte' (fillet of beef in pastry) might imply that "beef Wellington" was a "timely patriotic rebranding of a trendy continental dish!
Whichever came first, Iain's Beef Wellington is proudly British and delicious!! 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Iain Smith’s Festive a la carte menu feature a host of seasonal specials and will star:
Roast turkey breast with sage and onion sausage stuffing, Brussel sprouts, maple bacon ragout and boulangère potatoes, wild mushrooms and cranberry sauce.
Perfectly concluded with, Hot Christmas pudding with mince pie ice cream, white chocolate & brandy sauce.
