Our festive blend is dropping next week, add it to your wishlist.
Our latest sweet and silky espresso, Valle Inca.
Back in 2018, Valle Inca was a group of around 100 members. Through word of mouth, producers quickly began sharing how access to a quality-focused market, through the association, brought them premium prices. Today, Valle Inca has grown to 385 producers in Cusco, with new operations expanding into Puno.
Each member, organically certified through the group, must meet quality standards—grounded in altitude and variety, but driven by dedication and hard work. Now in our sixth year with José Prudencio and Valle Inca, we're thrilled to showcase three of the group’s standout producers: Juan José Huillca Singuña, Felicitas Ñahuincamasca Huillca and Ignacio Chaina Molleapaza.
Cusco’s classic terroir brings milk chocolate and cooked apple to the cup, with Bourbon and Typica genetics adding robust sweetness and aromatic top notes. Through ripe cherry selection and post-harvest fermentation, we taste fig jam-like depth, hints of toasted coconut, and a soft, caramel finish.
Savouring the richness of the season as it delivers a welcomed hit of golden sunshine.
A joyful recommendation to brighten up the now darker days.
These vibrant, fruit-forward coffees, Karimikui AA and Gachatha AA are two exceptional lots from Kenya. Both hail from the Kirinyaga and Nyeri regions, known for producing distinctive and complex coffees. Karimikui AA offers a juicy mix of citrus and berry notes with a lively acidity, while Gachatha AA leans into a fuller body with deep, fruity sweetness and a touch of florals.
We'd recommend trying both to find your sweet spot.
This morning, we cupped and approved a fantastic new lot from Maidy Bocanegra, which will be shipping next month from her new drying facilities. Special thanks to Pedro from Caravela, who took a bag of her coffee back to Finca Los Limones for her!
We're thrilled to be working with Maidy again, a young producer from Bruselas, Huila, Colombia. Although she’s relatively new to the specialty coffee world, her mixed cultivar lot of Castillo and Papayo already shows incredible promise.
Maidy and her husband, Alberto Mendez, established Finca Los Limones in 2020 after moving from a background in cattle farming in Cauca, having been displaced by guerrilla warfare. They’ve transformed 2 of their 3 hectares into a diverse coffee farm with cultivars like Castillo, Pink Bourbon, and Papayo – an unusual Ethiopian variety with elongated, papaya-shaped cherries.
With the support of Caravela’s PECA agronomical training program, they’re making great strides in improving their farm’s infrastructure and processes to enhance both quality and yield. We’re excited to be a part of their journey and can’t wait to share their coffee with you soon!
Collaboration is key!
We’re proud to continue working with the Valle Inca Association, to source the majority of our coffees from Peru. It’s always an exciting time when the first round of samples arrives, and 2024 marks our seventh year buying from this incredible group, which now boasts nearly 400 members.
This latest box is full of familiar names, allowing us to continue working with the same producers year after year. Over the next few days, we’ll carefully assess these samples to select coffees that will feature across our menu — whether in our trusted Legacy and Article blends or as standout single origins in our seasonal range.
To celebrate International Coffee Day, we're excited to release a special coffee from Luis Carlos Guzmán’s Finca El Diviso in Colombia’s Huila department.
Over the years, Luis has expanded his farm to 15,000 coffee trees, harnessing the region’s cool climate and high altitude to produce complex, vibrant coffees.
Luis' dedication shines through in this unique Caturra lot which features a 24-hour reposado phase and a 36-hour fermentation in clean water. The result is a beautifully balanced cup with depth and clarity.
This exclusive release is available now for pre-order. We will be roasting and sending this out on 8th October.
Our latest release is the Karimikui AA from Kenya's Kirinyaga County. Bright, vibrant, and bursting with fruit-forward flavors, this washed coffee brings notes of redcurrant and blood orange.
Several hundred smallholder farmers in the villages of Kiamugumo, Githure, and Gituba deliver their coffee cherries to the Karimikui factory—some by foot, some on motorbike, and some by ox-drawn carts.
With impeccable processing and drying conditions, coupled with predominantly SL28 and SL34 varieties grown in nutrient-rich volcanic soils and a cool climate, the Karimikui Washing Station produces an excellent expression of this particular region. The result is a clean, expressive coffee that stands out for its clarity and balance.
The same remarkable coffee that you'll find in our house blend, Article, but in a remarkably small pod.
If you're in need of a fail safe espresso capsule that delivers
→ Flavour, think silky dark chocolate and maple.
→ Simple disposal, they're home compostable.
→ Quality, our pods are crafted using the same buying protocols and quality control checks as our whole bean coffee.
Then look no further.
Available in 10 or 100 packs, and savings are to be made when you take out a convenient subscription.

🌞
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of our café on Mortimer Street, due to extensive construction work scheduled to begin in September. Our final day of trading will be Wednesday, August 21st, when we'll close the doors at 5pm.
The upcoming work will obstruct our café’s façade, severely impacting foot traffic and sadly, diminishing the quality of your experience with us. At Workshop, we value the ritual of brewing and serving exceptional coffee and feel the heart of what we do would be lost amongst the disruptive nature of the work that is planned. Although a difficult decision, we want to take the opportunity to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported us and visited our café over the years. Your patronage has made our time here truly special.
However, as the saying goes, when one door closes, another opens. While we bid farewell to our Fitzrovia location, this marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for us. We are actively searching for a new space that will develop our offering and allow us to work even closer with the coffee community.
While we transition, our roastery will continue to operate as usual, and our coffee will remain available for purchase online and through our partner cafés.
With a couple of days remaining we encourage you to come by and share a coffee with us, as we celebrate our time spent here. We look forward to welcoming you to the next chapter of Workshop Coffee — stay tuned for future announcements.
Many thanks from the Workshop Team 👋
Where to drink it | La Camionera, Hackney, London
Take the sun-soaked, aperitivo culture of Spain, where every drink is as vibrant as the company you keep, and place it in Hackney. Thanks to owners Clara and Alex, London’s first le***an bar and café, La Camionera, delivers just that and has found its permanent home here.
Daytime espresso’s lounging in the garden roll into alfresco evenings, when cranking up the music seeks to amplify the laughter. Clara and Alex have curated an atmosphere that fills up quickly and flows effortlessly, yet behind the scenes, it’s likely they haven’t stopped.
Fiercely backed by their community, this space transcends being just a bar and café —it's a sanctuary, driven by the owners' vision for a welcoming environment for q***r women, non-binary people and allies.
La Camionera stands as a testament of inclusivity and the power of community support in carving out safe, celebratory spaces.
