A HUGE congrats once again to the coolest couple - Tasha and Graeme, who got married in Hawick.

Often creating a wedding cake is such a fun experience as each idea is unique and specific to the couple; and taking into account the theme and the wedding decor they choose. Usually the couple bring an idea and as a cake maker, I work with them and try and execute it to the best of my ability. This was a remarkable experience (and not to mention slightly more stressful) as the bride and groom gave me full reign over the design but had very specific ideas on the flavour choices. To top it up, I needed to transport the cake from Kent to Hawick - oh the pressure to get it right and to the venue in one piece ;)

The cake flavours were as fun and adventurous as the couple themselves.
Top tier- pandan flavoured cake with coconut curd filling for the grooms family,
Middle tier- oreo cake with oreo cream cheese frosting; and
The final tier- lemon and blueberry sponge with lemon curd filling and mascarpone frosting.

Retirement cake for a police office!
Flavour- lemon and blueberry cake with lemon curd and mascaporne frosting.

Chocolate Guinness cake with Bailey's buttercream frosting. Now who wouldn't want a booze filled cake for their 40th birthday right?!

Funeral cake!
There's always a first for everything right? This is the first ever cake order for a funeral, ordered by the husband for his beloved wife.
The brief was to create a cake to look like their daschund / sausage dogs, one is tan and the other one is black. Hopefully I've done it justice.

This has been a tough year for so many families which is why I've gone the extra mile on this one. It broke my heart when he said the words 'she would love it and will be smiling down'. It also reminded me, again, as to how short life is and not to take anyone or anything for granted.

Monopoly themed 16th birthday cake for the 'king of monopoly'- Ryan!
The brief was just that- to have a cake that represented monopoly and make it look like the board itself, with the four tokens that represents the family.
The flavours- Ryan's favourite cake is the red velvet and hence the top tier is a 4 layered red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and the bottom tier is my signature chocolate sponge with chocolate cream cheese frosting and fresh fruits.
Another wonderful family! It is always a joy creating something unique and special for people who are just so lovely. Truly grateful 🙏😁

Wedding cake samples for cake tasting sessions! Love that couples are so organised this year and have booked in cake tasting sessions 6 months to a year in advance. Makes a huge change from last minute frenzy. Let the fun begin 💃

This is a very special order for a few reasons:
1) it was a surprise birthday cake for a gorgeous 21 year old from her best friend; and I'm a sucker for a good surprise.
2) the birthday girl is a paramedic and I'm not sure about you but from my personal experience they're some of the kindest, most patient people I've met and they have been super amazing when I've needed it the most.
So when Eleenor (Els) contacted me with the idea of an ambulance cake for her best friend, I jumped at the opportunity, and I'm so glad they loved it.

20th Birthday Cake for an Arsenal fan!

Not often do you get people who leave you with full creative freedom and Mel has been one of the sweetest customers I've been lucky to meet over lockdown. It's such a joy to make cakes for people like this.

4 layer vanilla sponge filled with vanilla bean swiss meringue buttercream and homemade strawberry jam and finished with more buttercream and few fondant accents.

60th Birthday Cake for a wonderful father who owns this amazing yatch.
This special cake was ordered by the daughter and her boyfriend as a surprise gift. So thoughtful and what a lovely surprise 🥳🎂

This was such an interesting and exciting cake to make. The brief was to create a cake for 4 people, from the same family, celebrating their birthdays in October. Jess- whose family is her world, Naheen (Jess' sister), who works for the NHS, little Eesha (Jess' daughter) who loves unicorns and was having a mini unicorn themed bday party and Riaz (Jess' teenage son) who obviously loves the play station. I also tried to capture their love for flowers and glitter 😀
The cake is a 4 tier red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting.

It literally felt like I was visiting family- the love, the laughter, they even had a birthday card for my birthday. So touched and truly blessed to meet wonderful people like Jess and her family.

Mermaid themed birthday cake!
Always wanted to make a mermaid themed cake and finally little Dahlia made that wish come true 😀
