Hagen Flagship Store is now open at North Audley Street. Enjoy crisp and bright coffees at our largest Danish “samtalekøkken” yet.
Inspired by nature’s tranquil beauty, Hagen Borough Yards captures the essence of the Danish forest. Woven grass textures, lush green colors and captivating woodland imagery.
Welcome to Hagen Jubilee Plaza. Born to answer questions like: Could a neo-retro espresso bar exist in a more modern setting? Could the Danish designer Arne Jacobsen have met for a coffee in the Pan Am building in NYC at some point & how would that look?
Room 606 in the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, was our design inspiration once again. Arne Jacobsen, the Danish architect and designer, created the hotel in the late 50s. Room 606 has been preserved in time and untouched since Jacobsen designed it.
After Hagen Knightsbridge (Room 607), we are glad to introduce you to Room 608 - our new take on a post war espresso bar - brown marble, brushed steel, stained wood, blue walls - all inspired by Room 606... Or 607.
We are excited to share this new chapter.
Our filter coffee is named Cup-of-Hagen (say it fast and it sounds like Copenhagen!). We curate a selection of beans every month, so you can ask the barista what is on today.
Soon… We’ll share something very special
August marks the 5th anniversary of vintage mirrors, marble bars and hessian wallpapers in Hagen Mayfair
We are excited to welcome the 2024 harvest from our Himalayan partners, continuing our direct trade with 1200-1500 farmers. This year’s harvest will include lots from our experimental extended anaerobic natural processing.
Danish coffee. Japanese ice cubes. English summer heat.
We are happy to bring you some very special beans in your favourite travel companion format, the Hagen Home Brew - featuring new tasting notes: chocolate and nuts with a caramel finish, or a special peach tea-like profile.
🍫 Single Origin Nepal: Sourced from the Taplejung region of Nepal, where we are working to establish sustainable production of specialty coffee by directly trading with a community of 1,000 farmers. These beans are roasted using Bellwether, an all-electric and ventless roasting technology. A homage to the Danish filter coffee, similar to our cup-of-Hagen expect chocolate and nuts-tasting notes, with a caramel finish.
🍑 Single Origin Colombian: Sourced from Jairo Acila in Colombia, the profile of this coffee is distinct due to the honey, wine yeast, and peach maceration process, delivering peach tea-like tasting notes. Definitely not your ordinary coffee.
They say Maj is one of the best months to visit Denmark. 🇩🇰🫶 Hagen is a Danish coffee brand born out of Copenhagen and founded in London. We always take inspiration from the best parts of Denmark for our bar designs. Nyhavn is the reason why the facades of our bars are all different and so colourful.
The mute swan is the Danish national bird, perhaps best known from Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale “The Ugly Duckling.” As a Danish espresso bar, we like to create swans on our coffee, serving you a little bit of fairy tale magic. 😌🦢🇩🇰
Vintage brass is a never ending story in our bars. It’s not just a design choice; it’s a signature element we use to blend aesthetics and functionality from our counters, to the little corners, to our retail shelves.
In light of Earth Day, at the end of April, we took a look at our sustainability efforts.
We are recycling close to 70% of all our waste. In the last 12 months, we have saved 303 trees, helped reduce CO2 emission by 59 tonnes, and our recycling effort has generated more than 20 thousand kWh of energy.
But our commitment extends beyond numbers. We are focusing always more on directly sourcing our beans through trusted charity partners, and we’re perfecting their profile using bellwether, an electrical and ventless roasting technology.
There’s more: we only use glass bottles for our delivered coffees. Bring three back to any of our bars, and get a free coffee.
Sustainability is a journey we are committed to. As we continue to grow, we’re doubling down on our efforts to protect the planet. 🌱♻️💚
Hagen Bond Street has been softly launching over the last few months and we’re happy to share the aesthetics and inspirations for the design as we are now officially launching.
In Hagen Bond Street, you’ll find our classic Hagen floor reintroduced, ever increasing brass detailing, green marble and of course wallpaper only your grandparents would be proud of.
The marble sculpture of Hanover Square by Sean Scully was an inspiration for our green bar counter as it reminded us of Øresund (the sea between Denmark and Sweden). The proximity to New Bond St and Saville Row meant we had to add incorporate fashion and craftsmanship.
Enjoy 🇩🇰🫶
