Morden Hall. A significant place for & me. I frequently cycle through - along the Wandle. But it’s a treat to take time and walk around the park, and reset 🙏

Very rare for me to see the excellent Matt "Magic" Johnston (Specialty Field Production) without a camera in his hand (or drone-related kit, or a rally snack) but at least he picked up some silverware - on behalf of [HOONIGAN] - during the Motor Film Awards. Great to catch up, and regroup for the first time since we lost Ken.

Not thinking about the Roman Empire

Made a pilgrimage up the northern line to Hoxton, basically to see these shoes. But saw plenty more. One more week left to enjoy the London Calling exhibition, celebrating half a decade of skateboarding in the UK. It’s pretty R.A.D.

It’s a sign

Great un-lazy sunny afternoon at Crystal Palace - mostly spent watching legends gathering (and killing it!) for .calling.skateboardinguk but also - for me - a chance to drop in for the first time in nearly 12 months. Inspired now to get out there and do it a few more times this year - so thanks 🙏🤙

Using a GoPro to try and analyse where I can improve on my surfing - I am a lot more ungainly than I imagined, and there is a lot of effort/paddling/waiting relative to actually catching a wave and surfing it in.
Much like life and work - you can spend ages looking out to the flat horizon wondering when - if? - something good will ever happen again… has the swell passed?… but eventually it always does.
A set comes in.
Keep the faith, and try to enjoy the waiting as much as the frantic and exhilarating activity 🙏

This candid shot sees Petter Solberg, Mikko Hirvonen and me being formally prepared for a traditional welcome tea ceremony. Enjoyed every trip since, but this one was special. Shame not to be there for its big return, but all the best to all involved this weekend 🙏
