Modernising our engineering areas here at Loughborough College to support our student experience. We have ensured we have the latest Technology from the sector to help develop and inspire our students.
🚀 Our Second Year Space Engineering students have begun their Astrophysics topic at the National Space Centre. They learnt about lenses and optics, and constructed their own simple telescopes! Space Engineering students come to the National Space Centre every other week to take part in enhancement activities that compliment their in-college learning, and allow them to apply the Physics, Maths and Engineering that they are learning on the course to a range of exciting space contexts.
We are currently recruiting for next year's cohort to study A-Levels in Physics and Maths and a 2 A-Level equivalent BTEC in Engineering. Loughborough College Electrical Installation students would like to say a massive thank you to fellow electrician Adrian Journeaux. He has given our learners the opportunity to use ‘The Brocket’ an innovative tool he designed for the installation of conduit bushes. ‘The Brocket’ as it is affectionately known, is a versatile conduit bush socket that has superb accessibility in tight space working environments. Overcoming obstacles that traditional bush spanners struggle with, once again our learners are amongst the first students in the country to experience cutting edge electrical tool advancement.
Learners William Zheng, James Smith, Samuel Jones, and Ryan Weston attended a special T Level event thanking employers for their crucial role in supporting students and developing the college's T Level curriculum.
