We are delighted to have been crowned British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) title winners for the 43rd consecutive year with a record-breaking 𝟗,𝟒𝟗𝟐 points 👏

Congratulations to all students, staff, athletes, officials, committee members, practitioners and volunteers for their contribution to another year of sporting excellence here at Loughborough University.

To add to celebrations, Daniel Wiffen has been named 𝑺𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒔𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒀𝒆𝒂𝒓 this evening, following a exceptional swimming season and BUCS record-breaking moments in the pool.

It has been a truly incredible year in the African Violet 💜

The Sikh Games has selected Loughborough University as its inaugural UK host for this summer’s milestone multi-sport event.

Bringing together the Sikh community from across the UK, Loughborough will welcome over 2,000 participants from 35 different regions. Over 20,000 spectators are expected on campus to witness three days of high-level sporting action.

Loughborough University appointed inaugural UK host of Sikh Games The Sikh Games has selected Loughborough University as its inaugural UK host for this summer’s milestone multi-sport event.

Loughborough University are delighted to be awarded the status of “UK Sport - accredited Elite Training Centre”, a title that celebrates our contribution to helping athletes reach their full performance potential.

This award is a true testament to our facilities, staff, culture and drive to always strive for excellence. Thank you to everyone who plays a part in our Loughborough ecosystem 💜

PFA 🤝 Loughborough Sport

We are delighted to be chosen as a hub for the PFA’s new national fitness network, together with Game Changer Performance, for former players navigating their transition journies away from full-time gym and training.

At Loughborough University, former players will be able to access expert-led gym sessions, sports and recovery sessions with our in-house Physiotherapy Clinic and social opportunities to network and connect.

Their initial pilot RECONNECT session was hosted here earlier in May.

Our Loughborough Athletics Cross Country team battled tough, muddy conditions in Leeds last weekend to produce British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) results to be proud of 💜

Congratulations to Jack Small who won gold in the Men’s Short Course race, and to Harriet Bloor who took home bronze in the Women’s Short Course.

Impressive performances all round meant that the African Violet featured on the podium for all Teams results. In the Short Course, both teams took silver. Our women’s Long Course team took gold whilst our men’s team secured bronze.

A massive well done to all runners involved 👏

Loughborough University has reaffirmed its status as a centre of excellence for performance analysis by extending its partnership with Hudl for another three years.

Hudl, one of the world’s leading performance analysis software companies, was first introduced to the University’s performance sports programme in 2017 and has continued to add immeasurable value to Loughborough’s elite-level sport offer through Loughborough Sport Support Services.

The extended working relationship will also be key to the University’s School of Sports, Exercise and Health Sciences as its Applied Sport Performance Analysis MSc continues to flourish.

Two Loughborough Univeristy National Tennis Academy players have touched down in Melbourne ahead of the Australian Open Junior Championships 🎾

Mika Stojsavljevic and Ben Gusic-Wan will compete in the Girl’s and Boy’s Singles Main Draws respectively.
