Secure car parking?
Anyone else parked in a well known valet car park at the international airport and got their vehicle back with extra miles on it and the dash camera disconnected?
That was our recent experience and according to them it was ok to disconnect the camera and there was no way there would be extra miles on the car even though we recorded them before we left.

Study shows driving under pressure is costing motorists at least £112m in lost tyres.

A study by The Motor Ombudsman, the Ombudsman for the automotive sector, has revealed that drivers using their cars with tyres that are inflated below vehicle manufacturer-recommended levels, is costing motorists at least £112 million (c.€132.5m) annually in wasted rubber.

As well as presenting many hidden dangers, and increasing fuel consumption, running with less air than needed – also known as ‘under-inflation’, means that tyres wear out far quicker than they should, thereby reducing their lifespan.

Warning to BMW drivers!
If you are having work carried out to your vehicle which involves removing the wheels.
Make sure the lock bolts are not over tightened when refitting.
This vehicle arrived after a visit to the mechanic with rounded bolts and a damaged lock nut key.
We removed and replaced the damaged ones which is never an easy task.
All the standard bolts were extremely tight and the lock key was never going to stand up to the torque required to loosen them.
So again make sure the bolts aren’t over tightened when refitting.

Another day another disaster!
Badly bulged tyre showing just how bad the roads still are.
Wouldn’t want to be doing 70mph on that bad boy!!

I’ve seen some dodgy repairs before but I’ve never seen anyone try and repair a badly rusted wheel with a sticker!
Customer arrived in with a “slow puncture”
When we removed the wheel this is what we found. The outer edge was simply crumbling away due to rust.
We supplied a new wheel checked the others for safety.
It always pays to use a reputable company when maintaining your vehicle otherwise things like this can happen.
