We at the business soon to be “formerly” known as Bloodstone tattoo collective, felt like it was time for change.

Whilst the name and aesthetic is changing and improving, our goals, values and commitment to the community is not.

We will still be striving to be the an educational hub for aspiring local artist

As well providing a service that challenges the standard practice and expectation of tattooing in northern Ireland.

Chiron was eldest and wisest of the Centaurs, a Thessalian tribe of half-horse men. Unlike his brethren Chiron was an immortal son of the Titan Cronus and a half-brother of Zeus.

Memorial dog portrait by Nathan. The top letters are the name "Thor" in old norse with the lightening and a Mjolnir (Thor's hammer) pendant added to the collar. Was a pleasure doing this piece and we were able to add some of our clients beloved pets ashes into the piece. Mother and clouding not done by Nathan.

The beginning of an African inspired sleeve. We started with this African lady and the client stated he wanted her to be beautiful but not by conventional standards. He didn’t want her to have perfect flawless skin. We completed the portrait up until the end and by adding the blemishes to the skin I think Daniel was right. It made the portrait look more real and interesting. Quite pleased with this one.

Filigree wing. ⁠
Filigree is a symbol of beauty and elegance its an amazing element to work with in tattooing. ⁠
The wing as you can imagine is a symbol of freedom. Can't wait to continue this piece around.

The process of creating this tattoo brought me as much joy as the act of tattooing it. Within this tattoo lies a deep symbolism that held great significance for James.

The three fonts used in the design pay homage to the Roman and Greek cultures that enriched us with their philosophy and education. These intellectual pursuits were primarily accessible to the aristocratic classes, particularly in Rome. Conversely, the graffiti-style elements speak to the rebellious spirit of the common man. In ancient Rome, graffiti served as a means for individuals to express their discontent with powerful figures and governments.

The key depicted in the tattoo symbolizes the unlocking of the mind, while the geometric patterns represent the pursuit of knowledge.

Embedded within the design, the Fleur de lis signifies culture and virtue.

The statue of David, depicted in a state of partial completion with an undefined shoulder and features, represents the continuous process of shaping and molding the mind and thoughts. To me, David embodies defiance, independence, and bravery, qualities necessary for unrestricted thinking.
