Whose skin needs a TRIPLE exfoliation?
The new Total skin reset peel includes 3 exfoliants;
💫Step 1 of the triple exfoliation is the Bamboo Micro polish - a physical exfoliant (meaning you can feel the grains)
Made from finely ground bamboo, these spherical polishing beads mechanically buff away dead skin cells and unblock congested pores helping to improve the skin’s texture. They also help to stimulate the circulation and restore clarity and radiance to the complexion.
💫Step 2 of the triple exfoliation is Medik8's Superfacial - an enzyme exfoliant ( no grains, just enzymes that nibble away to release dead skin cells)
A professional strength papaya-based enzymatic peel with super-antioxidants that protect the skin from pigmentation and fight pollution all while gently removing dead skin cells to instantly reveal radiant, youthful-looking skin.
💫Step 3 of the triple exfoliation is the Universal peel -(an acid based exfoliant to enhance skin smoothness and clarity)
An ‘everyone’ peel which is suitable for all skin types and concerns.
It visibly brightens, smooths, decongests and revitalises the skin.
Ideal for a first-time peel or to prolong the results of previous peels.
Universal AHA Peel is light enough to only cause very minimal tingling on the skin, perfect for someone who is worried about peeling discomfort.
It should cause minimal downtime on the skin and some very light flaking, but rarely peeling.
It contains a trio of acids:
Glycolic acid - stimulates collagen production to help produce a firmer, plumped skin appearance to tackle premature ageing.
Mandelic acid - helps to resurface the upper layers of the epidermis; leaving the skin instantly smoothed and renewed. It's perfect for slightly more sensitive skin types.
Lactic acid - is an AHA which breaks down the bonds between skin cells. This allows dead skin cells to be lightly buffed away revealing a fresh, hydrated and radiant complexion. It is also ideal for use on hyperpigmented skin concerns.
Arginine is an amino acid which slow down the release of acids into the skin to minimise irritation levels making the application comfortable.
What happens in the Total Reset Skin? Last week we launched Medik8's brand new treatment which you can now book @20% OFF! This is what happens during the treatnent;
1. First up we double cleanse the skin!
2. Then we begin the TRIPLE Exfoliation phase! (More on this on our next post) Triple exfoliation step 1- bamboo micro polish and surface radiance cleanser
3. Triple exfoliation step 2 superfacial enzyme exfoliator
4. Triple exfoliation step 3- Exfoliation step 3 universal peel.
5. Then we neutralise the skin back to its optimum PH level.
6. Next up we use not 1, not 2 but 3 serums! Serum 1- Hydr8 B5 serum, Serum 2-Calmwise serum, Serum 3- C Tetra luxe
10. Then we Moisturise, restore and protect- Ultimate recovery cream and Physical sunscreen SPF 50.
The results = Smooth, bright, radiant skin

Amy has passed her apprenticeship with DISTINCTION! 🎉
Last week Amy completed her (5 hour long 🥵) End point assessment and gained a distinction in ALL areas!
Huge congratulations to Amy who is now a fully qualified beauty therapist! She has been the most prefect apprentice, an absolute dream to train and has worked really hard. We're so happy to have her as part of our team ❤️. As Amy is no longer an apprentice her discount will no longer apply so treatments with Amy are normal price from today.

There are no planned road closures around the salon but if you come through the town centre to get to the salon please allow extra time as it's expected to be busy.
We are closing at 4pm on Friday (and opening slightly later at 11am on Saturday) as some of the Libra beauty team are attending the event, so if you're going we might see you there 😉. Hope everyone has a great weekend whether you're attending or not!

Easter opening hours 🐰🐣
If you need an appointment before bank holiday weekend we are open as normal until Good Friday!
We are then CLOSED- Good Friday, Easter Saturday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.

Scrolling through old photos on my phone I was really shocked when I found this one from 2019! Pigmentation has been an issue for me for a few years but I honestly had completely forgotten that is was ever this bad!
We always talk about skincare being a journey and I think this is the perfect example of that. Sometimes the changes are gradual and you actually forget where you started and how far you have come (which is why before photos are such a good idea so you can look back on what it was like when you started!)
I'd say this pigmentation mark is completely gone now and it was a combination of 4 things over a few years-
💫2019- IPL treatment (this was the thing that gave me the most instant reduction in the pigment however it didn't completely go)
💫2020- started using Medik8 products at home- the product I found particularly good for the pigment was crystal retinal.
💫2022/2023- started skin peels and dermalux treatment (these are what really faded the remainder of the pigment marks).

Away from the hustle and bustle of busy town centres, Libra provides a quiet and private cocoon for a wide range of beauty treatments.
A family run business, established in 1992, salon owners Hannah and Sarah both worked in the salon before taking it over in 2010. They still work in the salon as therapists and are very lucky to have a fantastic team working with them.
Our friendly, professional therapists will look after you and make your experience with us comfortable and indulgent. Having been established over 25 years and a member of the professional beauty board we have high standards at Libra – customer care, cleanliness and quality treatments are our top priority.
Our most recent venture has been to open our online shop- having used Sothys skincare both in salon and personally for over 15 years we trust and believe fully in our skincare brand. Sothys is cruelty free, a mostly vegan range and uses aspects of nature and science to provide results!
