Well our trip to the Eifel region and Der Nurburgring is all over too quickly.

This week has flown by. It seems like only yesterday we were sat on the ship Rotterdam bound and here we are just about to depart for England. Great time and may next year come round even quicker. Thanks to Christian and the crew at the Hotel Forsthaus got once again great food and hospitality.

I’m pleased to say my last trip was a great one to end 25 years of coming to the Forsthaus.

Hope everyone who has attended in the past has gone on to gain the confidence to journey out on more adventures.

I know I’ve mentioned that this is my last trip however my final organised trip will be next year and is by invitation only. I have already filled this so unfortunately there are no spaces left. Well for anyone following the page and who is not already booked on the Eifel / Germany 2023 trip this post may be for you. I've got two double rooms left and they are doubles as opposed to twins. The price with single occupancy works out around 108 Euros per night each but does include both Breakfast and a substantial Evening Meal. The hotel is a 6 night stay so leave you to do the maths. Ferry crossing is Hull - Rotterdam ( Meet at Hull ) and costs in the region of £330 return based on single occupancy twin cabin. Obviously cheaper if sharing. Departure is the Evening of Friday 8th September 8.00pm ( Boarding from 4.00pm ) and returning into Hull Saturday 16th September around 8.00am.

This is a none profit trip so you're not paying for me or a guide or a company office etc etc. There will be daily ride outs FOC organised to go to some of the many places of interest and of course the opportunity to Ride Der Nurburgring in the evenings. Book your own ferry and pay for your own accommodation at the end of the week. I take no deposit and handle no cash. Can't be clearer than that. You've got until the end of April and then I'll tell the hotel to let the rooms go.

Well we've had a great January in that we have confirmed 10 people already booked on our Eifel Germany trip in September and with only 5 rooms left it's looking to be a great turn out. If you're already booked then thanks and if you know of anyone else who might be interested then please feel free to share the details. The remaining rooms are all doubles so if your a couple then great. If not then you can have a double room all to yourself for an additional 10 Euro pre night ( 6 nights in the hotel ).

Moving on lets hope this weather picks up allowing us to get out there and stretch the old legs.

Well having missed out the 2022 Eifel ( Nurburgring ) tour I’m putting the feelers out for interested parties for the 2023 tour.

If you’ve been before then you’ll know the format but if you don’t then this is how it works. Book your own ferry and I’ll book the hotel. You pay your own hotel and bar bill at the end of the weeks stay. Simples. This way I don’t have to handle anyone’s money.

We ship Hull Rotterdam on Friday 8th September 2000 hrs overnight crossing and return the following Friday 15th getting back in the U.K. Saturday morning. The ferry cost based on Bike and rider with cabin ( single occupancy) is as little as £300 if you book early enough. That’s return price of course. If you’re booking multiple occupancy with multiple bikes you have to phone P & O to get a price as the web site doesn’t support this type of booking.

Hotel is for 6 nights and is around €65 - €70 per person ( waiting for next years figures at the moment ) and is based on single room with breakfast and evening meal.

The area has some fantastic roads and loads to see and do including the infamous Nurburgring which is around 15 mins from our hotel. I will be running daily guided ride outs which are free to join in however should you wish to explore on your own please feel free to do so.

I work on the principle that your word is your bond but to be sure you’re not going to mess me around I will only confirm your hotel once I’ve seen proof of ferry booking.
