Another school year gone 🥹 we are now closed for the summer holidays. We wish those who are starting preschool & school all the very best - we have loved watching you grow 💕 We will reopen on Monday 9th September and we look forward to welcoming new and existing members - in the meantime have a lovely safe summer holiday 🍦🌞 🏖🏕🎠🛝😘

As it is a new term can we please just make everyone aware of the following:

1. Please remember to take home all dirty nappies as unfortunately we do not have the facilities to dispose of them.

2. If possible, just one adult please. This allows us to maximise the children numbers to enjoy the setting, however if granny is down for the weekend or dad is off for the day etc they are welcome as special guests

3. Please take all litter home or ask to pop it in our bin, as this helps our volunteers clearing up after the session much easier and quicker.

We can all feel extra pressure during this month. However, showing love and spending time with your closest ones is the most precious and lasting gift.

Playgroup every Monday (term time only) 10am - 11.30am. Great selection of toys and games for young babies and toddlers, plus 20 min sing and rhyme towards the end of the session . Just £1 per family which includes a hot drink and a biscuit. 1st session is free 😊

It's September & it's back to school so that means we are now open again every Monday term time. We hope that you all had a lovely summer holiday. It was so lovely to see so many familiar faces yesterday and to welcome new ones too 🥰

Our session runs 10am - 11.30am with toys and activities for babies and pre schoolers plus a sing song for the last 20 mins or so. It is just £1 per session which includes a hot drink for the grown ups and a biscuit for the little one.

🎪 We are holding our annual Open Day on Sunday 10th September. A free event for the entire community - come and meet your local firefighters, see the fire engines and find out the inner workings of a working fire station. 🚒

Today is World Drowning Prevention Day and with school children across the UK enjoying the first week of their summer holidays already, the RNLI is reminding people how to stay safe while enjoying at the coast.

Sadly, days out can turn to tragedy with RNLI lifeguards aiding 1,563 people last summer – including 802 children and 245 teenagers - during 1,373 incidents attended in the North and East region.

The key summer safety advice to remember is:

· Visit a lifeguarded beach & swim between the red and yellow flags

· If you get into trouble Float to Live; tilt your head back with ears submerged and try to relax and control your breathing. Use your hands to help you stay afloat and then call for help or swim to safety if you can.

· Call 999 in a coastal emergency and ask for the Coastguard
