Mr. Senzo Nishikawa, Honorary Advisor of the Association, passed away on July 14th. He was 95 years old. Mr. Senzo served as a board member for a long time from 1955, when the association was established, to 2017.
The 62nd Nihon Buyo Kyokai performance (held in 2019), Tokiwazu's Kodakara Sanbaso, was the last stage performed by the association.

協会名誉顧問の西川扇藏氏が去る7月14日、肺炎のため逝去されました。享年95歳でした。扇藏氏は、協会設立当初の昭和30年から平成29年まで長きにわたり理事職をお務めになり、数多くの事業・公演に携わり、役員の中心的存在として協会の発展に多大な貢献をされました。第62回日本舞踊協会公演（平成31年開催）の常磐津「子宝三番叟」が協会での最後の舞台となりました。
日本舞踊界における多くの功績により、平成11年に重要無形文化財の各個認定（人間国宝）を受けられ、令和３年には文化功労者に選ばれるなど数多くの栄誉に浴されました。
心よりご冥福をお祈り申し上げます。
