Working on a cherry and beech prospective piece. Part chiselling practice, part potential commission sample. What do you think? This is a rare foray for me into natural shapes and curves rather than my safe space of right angles and straight lines.

Thinking about this gorgeous piece of Walnut from a side table last year. The wood was from the centre of the tree and gave the most spectacular colour changes. Some hand tooled legs really finished off the piece and made it as nice to touch as it was to look at.

Summer might not be quite here yet but I'm posting this to urge it on ⛅
I'm standing here with some lovely Walnut and Beech which a couple of emails depending, will hopefully become some fabulous furniture.

Can I tell you a secret?
Well, it's something i've always felt a bit embarassed about to be honest and tried to shy away from, but my other job is a window cleaner! As many of you know I started the furniture full on during lockdown but before that I was running my own window cleaning business. As my young furniture business continues to grow I still clean windows just to make sure the bills get paid. Setting up as a furniture maker is an enormous amount of money and hardwork!
I'm slowly getting there thanks to all my wonderful clients but there's still a lot to do! If you happen to be in Stockport town centre on a Tuesday then you may well see me marching around, squeegee in hand.
So there you go, i've let it all out and feel much better now. As Bob Hoskins once said, 'it's good to talk' 😁

A few never before seen images of my very populaar Japanese Stool. These are some fun outakes from one of many shoots with , here we've gone a bit rogue on the styling haha. So far these have been used as stools, side tables, bedside tables and dining room seating. What would you use yours for?

Spring is on it's merry way and I couldn't be happier. I heard the blackbirds singing in the trees this morning and for a brief moment all was well in the world. Wishing you all a very happy end of week, and of course also wishing you to pause a moment to notice how sublime the Oak on this Hundert's Cabinet looks.

What a wild ride 2023 has been. So many amazing things have happened starting with the birth of my daughter Rose in April. Life will never be the same again!
I exhibited in London for the first time, got featured in the Home and Garden's Stars of Tomorrow 2024 article, created some amazing new work that i'm very proud of, increased my sales on last year and finally got my own workshop space (if you don't blow your own trumpet, who the hell will?!).
After a massive year of transitions, 2024 is set to be an excellent year and I can't wait to push forwards with my young business and now young family!
Thanks you to everyone I have met along the way, and thank you to everyone who has made a purchase this year, it really means the world when you are just starting out.
