Our PCM Power Control Module the ideal tuning solution for some owners – even if your car is now capable of being tuned in the conventional manner. Why's that? Because PCM gives you a perfect, smooth 30-50hp power gain, yet crucially is fully removable without trace.

Because of that, the main consideration for most people choosing PCM is warranty. Particularly with the glitches & complexities we’ve all seen on the newer cars, more owners than ever are concerned about keeping their warranty intact. We get it. Others have good reason to be nervous of going down the route of a full ECU tune, such as those with a lease or a company car. And others are simply satisfied with the 30-50hp power and torque gains that a PCM gives (depending on engine type). But whichever the reason, it’s because PCM is fully removable without leaving any trace - neither digital nor physical - that it ticks a lot of boxes for so many customers.

The subject of tuning boxes has always been contentious – including for us. Which is why we developed our PCM differently. Think of it as a secondary ECU. The PCM is painstakingly calibrated in the same way as our ECU tuning is, by the same team, to all of the same rigorous dyno, track and road test procedures that we follow. That’s why we don't include gimmicks like multi-adjustable settings on our PCM; it just runs the optimum fastest, safest and smoothest calibration for each engine type.

Fitting & removal is quick and straightforward. Unlike other tuning boxes, our PCM features a beautiful billet aluminium casing, and includes its own bespoke carbon mounting brackets and wiring loom made specifically for each car type. So, no more tuning box dangling on tie-wraps in the engine bay, or spare coils of a generic wiring loom looped up!

The big question: is PCM as good as one of our OEM+ ECU calibrations? No, and we don’t ever claim it is. Our calibrations will always make more power and give you deeper sophistication with many added features. But for many, that’s a compromise worth taking for the benefit of the PCM’s easy removability.

And of course, many PCM owners will enjoy their power gains for 2-3 years until their warranty is over, and then swap it for free into an OEM+ Calibration.

All in all, it’s not for everyone – but for some PCM is the perfect tuning solution!

It's here! After 2 years of development and 6 months of worldwide testing, we're launching Phase 1 of the RacingLine OEM+ Software suite for the latest MQB 'Evo' 2.0 TSI EA888 gen.4 - including GPF/OPF cars.

We're launching with Stage 1 for both the lower output 245PS (Garrett Turbo) and the higher output 300/310/320PS (Continental Turbo) models with SIMOS 19.6 controllers.

Please note: this Phase 1 initial release is not applicable to USA cars which are still in Beta testing. We will be releasing these vehicles, plus higher stages of tune for all cars very soon.

Stage 1 gains are exceptional - typically around 100hp for the lower output cars, 80-100hp on the higher output cars vs. the manufacturer figures. And adding an R600 and Turbo Inlet adds approx another 20PS on top!

We are releasing calibrations for both engines in both HIGH TORQUE and LOWER TORQUE variations. High Torque is for cars with TCU tuning installed, whilst Lower Torque is ideal for cars without TCU tuning, for FWD cars or for 6MT manual transmission cars (to protect stock clutch).

The prices are as follows (all including VAT)

Three new PCMs released today, developed for the 2.0 TDI EA288 EVO as used in the new MQB EVO cars. These three new PCMs cover 200ps, 150ps, 115ps derivatives.

Each gives a power boost of more than 10% - typically +20-25ps - but more importantly, with a great torque increase across the range.

Supplied with our MQB EVO fitting kit with carbon mounting bracket, the bespoke 2.0 TDI wiring loom, not to mention the beautiful billet housing to look great under the bonnet. Yet easily removed at any time, leaving no physical or digital trace.

Perfect boost for Golf 8 GTD, Octavia IV vRS TDI, Leon IV, Audi A3 8Y and as with all our PCMs, a free upgrade to RacingLine Calibrations once available for TDI (if you purchase from a RacingLine OEM+ dealer).
